What if Houston said berverly/Anderson for Burks ?
They'd could do whatever they want with him, save the cap $ they need for whatever.
We'd get a stretch 4 , who isn't a great defender I know, a PG who can defend who shoot ok as well as addressing 2 of our needs.
Hill can seek his 20 mill per somewhere else

Anderson is going to get $19.8 million
Beverly is going to get $5.6 million,

Burks is going to get $10.6 million

Why again would we take on an overpriced wash up like Anderson??

If Hayward leaves, I would trade Burks for Anderson and Beverley but insist on Houston's unprotected first rounder in 2018 and a protected 1st way down the line like 2021 or 2022.

We would let Hill walk since we had Beverley, Exum, Mitchell, Neto and NWG. We would bring Ingles back. We would try to trade Favors for a first rounder by taking a contract back or something similar. Hypothetically, Houston might want expiring Favors for Anderson and Beverley, but I would up the asking price to unprotected 2018 and 2020 to give them Favors, take Anderson and give them a chance to add a premiere free agent.

PG Beverley, Exum, Neto, NWG
SG Hood, Mitchell
SF Ingles, JoeJ
PF Anderson, Bolomboy
C Gobert, Bradley
We might still have Burks depending on what Houston wants.

That team isn't bad. I feel like we would sniff a playoff birth but have the ability in 2018 to package OKC, ours and Houston's to get a top 10 pick.

No cap specialist here but does that trade even work $$$ wise. I wouldn't hate that deal but Anderson's deal would be the deal killer for me. I think that is why they are trying to get rid of him.

I'm far from a cap expert as well.
I thought I read somewhere on JF that we have about 15 mill to use. That plays burks's contract should make up the difference.
Anderson isn't my ideal player but a realistic target.
I don't mind Bev at all. Mongrel, defends and some shooting..

How about the fact he played 70 odd games last year which is the same as burks has for the last 2 combined.
But hey if you want to pay 10 mill per for a guy who can't get on the court consistently vs a guy on 20 mill who has played over 60 games the last 3 seasons ......
Yeah you're a good GM champ.
Anderson isn't the be all and end all... he's a realistic stretch 4 we could get.
Who do you want to target in FA ?? Griffin maybe ? Perhaps CP3 ?
Good luck with that fool

Intriguing! I'd have to think about the long-term impact more. And no idea whether this would help with Hayward (which seems to be the point of this whole exercise). But it seems like very good move for at least next year.

Is there any reason to think that this is the best deal Houston's likely to get, though?

Turn Favors, our extra cap flexibility, and whatever required future draft picks into Rubio and Millsap.

We eatin

Replace Hill he is too greedy and that toe and injury issues ain't gonna improve with him getting older, Beverly is my choice he defines our tough as nails defensive philosophy
