I voted Favors. I just don't see a non-big guy leading the Jazz in scoring. I don't think it's happened more than once in the last 25 years.
We have a new coach, new system and a bunch of newish players. I'm not sure the past of the Jazz holds much water anymore.

I think Kanter will pick up where Al left off. He'll be our new 'dump it in the post' target. He's a very efficient scorer.

Kanter, easily. Look at last year's per 36 for clues: 17.4 for Hayward, 16.9 for Kanter.

Kanter is way more raw and will improve the most.

Corbin clearly kept the Alfense intact to make a seamless transition for Kanter manning the post and high post. He will get a ton of Jefferson's looks.

Kanter 19.8, Hayward 18.2, Favors 15.6 (on 58% shooting), Burke 10.1, Burks 14.3, Evans 5.4, Rush 10.3

My fear is that Burke and Burks will both shoot around 40% from the field

What everyone is MISSING is that we will be MISSING a lot of shots... Kanter and Favors will get some second chance points each game - at least a few buckets each.

Hayward will be the top scorer. He is going to get alot of touches. lots of curls. he is the bas line runner so he will get the quick basline inbound pace play that utah runs so much, he will also get the drop off passes from the bigs just like last year.

If Hayward reaches this 22 ppg status I can see him being an alstar this year too.. But that another topic for another day. ** I have hop in hayward to lead us to a 35 win season**

Meh, he's not the playmaker I thought he would become. He still struggles with that aspect of his game.

Shouldn't your name now be Core5 or Core6?

Nope, still not sold on Burke. Gobert will be a nice backup, but can't consider him a "core" player. And I think next year's pick replaces either Burks or Burke.

Biedrins Fo sho. He'll get a career high 1.2 PPG. Hayward with .9, Burks .82, Favors .54, Kanter.24.

Wiggins.

Appears according to JF there is a clearcut guy. Hayward.

I think Hayward will be the leading scorer just because of the extent he was active in the offense the last couple of years, as opposed to the remaining guys. He is the most used to taking the shots, creating his own and for others, and I think will be our first option most of the time. But within the next year or 2 I see this shifting to one or both of the bigs.

Kanter, to me, seems like the only guy who could pass Hayward in scoring.

I guess Burks could, but I just don't him getting enough shots and I don't think he has the efficiency capability that Hayward does.

Unless Malone has worked miracles, I don't see Favors being the leading scorer.

Hayward might, but think Kanter is more likely to. If you look at true shooting %, Hayward has went down slightly each year even though his points have went up. What does that say? It means Hayward is having to work harder for his points and is probably taking some bad shots to get his. Kanter, on the other hand, saw his TS% balloon to 58.8% while getting more minutes and usage, that number is already near elite. Corbin (or someone up top) will eventually recognize this and the offense will go more and more to Kanter as a first option over Hayward. If the touches are there for Kanter, I don't think Hayward will be able to hang.

No way in hell Hayward AVERAGES 22 a game. No chance.

Kanter as a PF on offense would be unstopable. He is too strong, has the size and way too many moves in the post with a great touch and range on his jumper. He has the footwork and quickness, too. He will get many offensive rebounds (3-4 per game) which means many second scoring options. If he drives more to the basket (which he really can) there will be around 5 free throws for him per game. He has all the skills on offense which should make him one of the most dominant offensive big man in the league in the years to come. He will be our Go-to-Guy. Don't forget he is still very raw and has shown only some glimpses of what he can become. He is also a great free throw shooter, making 80 percent from behind the line.

Hayward looks like the second or third scoring option that rather wants to distribute the ball and having impact on many other areas. I see him struggle more against elite level wing defenders and I don't think that he will be enough consisstent to be the best scorer.

Again, unless Hayward gets more minutes, Kanter will be our first scoring option. Fact is that Corbin will play Hayward more and that's why I think Hayward is the answer.

So is he more Karl Malone or more Tim Duncan in your opinion?
