Why are the Jazz being named the team that's going to miss the playoffs?

How about the Rockets who choked last season?
How about the Warriors who tanked last season and have no playoff experience?
The Jazz are the team that won the last 5 games of the season to make the playoffs so they know what it takes to make it this season.
And finally screw the Fakers. Shobe is an arrogant punk so we would all love to see him miss the playoffs.

Corbin and ideas like "Howard and Raja FTW!"

Due to the strength of schedule that remains.

Because...Although D'Antoni, Jackson and McHale aren't very good coaches, they're still 10x better than Corbin will ever be.

...because we lose home games to teams like the Bulls and Celtics who were coming off back to backs and completely worn out from long road trips? Because we lose to teams like the Hawks who had to fly across country to take on a well rested Jazz team? Because after 60 games our offense still has the philosophy "put them up.....I got bounds" look to it?

Lakers have a pretty easy schedule. Those two losses this week were really bad. Unfortunately we're gonnna have to miraculously win road games but we won't with Watson and Marv starting

I's a very simple formula

GSW -Steph Curry
Rockets - James Harden
Lakers - Kobe
______________

Jazz - ????

This is a star driven league. Jazz have no stars.

Most people would prefer that we don't make it. When people fantasize about potential playoff matchups, they're never going think, "Wouldn't it be awesome to see the Jazz play the [insert exciting team here] in the first round!"

This as well. Lakers vs. Thunder > Jazz vs. Thunder in the eyes of fans of the other 29 teams. Mostly though the reasons for people thinking we fall off is obvious with the road heavy schedule coming up and the tough opponents. Houston's is cake as is the Lakers with the Warriors having a ton of home games. I think it'll be really really close down the stretch.

3 games up on LAL

Jazz have a .344 winning percentage on the road.
and 4 road games in a row.
They also have 12 of 23 remaining games on the road.

Lakers have a pretty easy schedule.
The Lakers and Jazz have pretty comparable schedules.

The average road losing percentage of LA's home opponents is .590. The average road losing percentage of Utah's home opponents is .618. Advantage Jazz.
The average home losing percentage of LA's road opponents is .404. The average home losing percentage of Utah's road opponents is .352. Advantage Lakers.

If you average home/road winning percentage with opponents' road/home losing percentage, and use this as an expected wins formula for the games remaining, the Jazz's expected record the rest of the way is 11.6-11.4. The Lakers' expected record is 11.2-11.8.

Both teams have 11 home and 12 road games remaining, and the Jazz hold the tie breaker. Utah will have to fall apart to miss the playoffs.

I think the main reason jazz will miss the playoffs is corbin belives in the toothfairy, jack frost, santa clause and the magical myhtical vet power.

Tyrone Corbin: It started with Earl [Watson], Randy [Foye] and Marvin [Williams]–the veteran guys. I thought the young guys did a good job of following their lead getting us off to a good start.(charlotte win)

that qoute shows he is so delusional that he thinks that it started with those 3 guys.
this is baffling beyond belieff

16 of Golden State's final 22 games are at home. They're making it.

By the same formula used above, Houston's expected record the rest of the way is 12.0-10.0 (their schedule is the easiest of the 3 teams vying for the last 2 playoff spots, with 13 home games and 9 road games).
