I'm not much for Twitter, but a lot of guys on here are, so why not Twitter Fes to find out what's going on with him and his agent? I know he uses it.
Portland might be in the sweepstakes also. I read that Greg Oden isn't good to go yet and Pryzbilla is still recovering from his two knee injuries and Portland may need a big for awhile.
One clarification on the "minimum" referred to here. The Jazz have offered the lowest amount they can offer to retain rights of first refusal, which is $1,087,500. That is not the same as the minimum salary for a three-year veteran, which would be $885,120.Fes doesn't use twitter. There have been twitter impersonators that I've helped quash but no real twitter accounts by Fes. What is it you want to know? He has until October 1st to sign the offer sheet. Because of that and nothing offered by the Jazz over the minimum, there isn't a whole lot of motivation to sign any earlier especially when you have a team like Houston, who may yet make an offer. They flew him to Houston to meet with him for 2 days and they liked what they saw, but they are waiting for Dampier to commit elsewhere before making Fes an offer.
Dan Fegan was Satan to the Jazz back in the late '90's. I don't follow who represents who anymore, but when I saw that Fegan (and his associates) represents Fes, I had to wonder if there were lingering feelings even though that Larry is gone.
I wondered the same thing, but it would be pretty fundamentally unfair to hold Howard Eisley against Fesenko. How old was Fes when that went down? 12? He was probably only 6'9" back then.
The Shadow of Shandon Anderson is likely hanging over Fesenko. If Fes averaged 18 and 10, the Jazz would probably get over it.
I remember reading a story where Ostertag saw Scott Padgett at media day one season and joked that Padgett shouldn't get too comfortable because all of Fegan's guys were being shipped out. In the years since, I believe the Jazz have only had Humphries and Fesenko as Fegan clients. I'm probably wrong.
