Ahearn signed with the Pacers, right??

Well, we're outta luck then.

Too many players who are all on about the same level for there to be an All-Star. The only one capable is Jefferson if he really ups his efficiency with FT attempts.

You're exactly right. It's Jefferson or no one. Millsap could get some consideration, but probably not enough.

nah, i don't think so. i think if the jazz are on a 50-win pace in january, the coaches will have to vote somebody in to represent the jazz (i hate that logic for all-star voting, unless it benefits our guys). if that happens, it's just as likely to be hayward or sap/favors (whoever's starting) as it is jefferson. but i guess that depends on the type of year these guys have.

I really think Hayward is going to suprise us all... He'll be in the mix imo as long as the Jazz are a top 5 team in the west. I think he'll be more impressive than Manu, Hardin (oh yeah), Iggy, Martin, and Tyreke. The only shooting Guard in the west that will be better than him will be Kobe. (I do think Klay Thompson will be fabulous this year but I still think Hayward will be better.)

No but who gives a duke? Jazz needs a deeper run not a star or a galaxy. It is as mentioned above. Many of them are on the same page to that chance.

My prediction will be proven right by all Star weekend and all on Jazz fanz will hold me in esteem as the Poster who posted a post that stated the future before it actually happened. ... :)

Hope not; if we win with good team play, who needs an all-star? That would make all those ESPN experts go crazy...

We'll have All Star caliber players that don't get All Star caliber treatment.

Yeah, we might have an all-star caliber player or two by the all-star game, but we're not going to have any players on the all-star team.

I think Hayward is going to being amazing this year too, but I just can't see him putting up gaudy enough numbers with Al on the team to get an All-Star nod.

Nah. Good points about how the team is too well balanced. Similarly, I think that if the time is distributed evenly none of the players will have the mins to put up the kind of numbers that it takes to be an all star. A lot of the all stars are players who are the only good player on a bad team. They get a lot of points simply because they are the only player with the ball in their hands. (aka Kirilinko) However with this team, if they are going to win they are going to have to distribute the ball around, and that makes for a lot of 10 to 15 point averages.

Also, as for Hayward, I don't doubt he might have numbers that make him under consideration, but more likely those numbers will make the coaches watch him closer next year, and then maybe vote him in.

It all depends on how well the team is doing. If we are hovering right around .500 and Jeffy is putting up 20/10 I doubt he goes. If we are sitting somewhere around the 4/5 seed in the West they'll put someone from our squad on the team.

Jefferson and Millsap maybe in the right year. Hayward is the only other guy with a remote shot, but he'd have to sneak in as the chic pick on a very, very, very weak wing year. Probably need to be averaging 17 and 5 assists as the floor which he's not going to do.

Problem is, the Jazz have a very tough schedule through mid-January, with 24 of their first 39 games on the road. They'll probably be around .500 and in the 8-10 range. They should take off and start to move up heading into the break, but I don't see Hayward or any others getting a lot of fan votes this year. Maybe Hayward gets in as a sub. As for the bigs, Jefferson and Millsap always have a shot, but both their minutes should get cut to allow Favors to play 30/per. Al has a better chance at the 5 than does Millsap at the 4. Too many big name PF's in the WC (Griffin, Love, etc.).
