What's new

Wilson Chandler?

What is the max you give up for him?

Sent from my A0001 using JazzFanz mobile app

Judging by my separate responses from both of these threads, a first and a second round pick plus whatever add-on like Withey, Mack, or Neto (one of whom has to go to make room for Chandler).

If I were to ask a jazz fan, "Hey, if Favors remains in-and-out of the lineup and then isn't in good shape for the playoffs, do you think this roster, as presently constituted, could beat the Clippers or the Grizzlies in a 7-game series?", and if they responded with "Yep, no doubt", then I'd think they were dumb.

One can look at a picks-for-Chandler-and-our-cap-space deal like a good use of our unused cap space..... which is an expiring asset. If the options came down to (a) use that asset to acquire needed help (who is, going forward, on a good and moveable contract) or (b) do nothing, then, well, I have a hard time understanding (b).

They are below the salary floor so they likely wouldn't want us to just use space... there is some finance stuff with this but it would actually cost them money. They need to add salary to reach the floor so they don't have to pay the full amount of the difference.

I also haven't given up on the Hill extension with our cap space. Locke saws he's changing agents which doesn't sound great tbh. I just think we could offer the best basketball situation/money mix... who knows.

i would rather see the Jazz make a push to get Darren Collison he would be the perfect back up PG for a nice solid playoff run especially if they can wrangle WCS too.

Chandler would be a great pick up though.
