With the 23rd Pick... Rodney Hood

You're way off base on the defense. Hood just isn't a good defender, and I don't think he ever will be. Not tough enough.

He most likely is a better shooter. There's a lot more to offense than shooting though. Hayward is better at almost everything else, offensively.

As for leadership...we'll see. Hood is a quiet guy, but I would love for him to be a good leader. I just think his skillset leads him to be a role player on a good team, starter on a bad team.

As for your last paragraph, I have no clue what you're talking about, but good for you bruh. They can't take the dignity that you don't have.

Probably the homer in me talking, but I'd rather have Hood than Stauskas. He's bigger, the difference in shooting is negligible, and I think he's a more explosive athlete in games.

Rooks smoothly hitting shots.

Stop kicking your foot Dante :p Focus on your balance.

Just saw a tweet by him saying that he was thankful for the sponsor, but said he would never spend money on jewelry like that. Humble kid.

I guess that makes sense. Mission accomplished by the jewelry company to get their name out there with the sponsorship.

Heard on the radio today that the Jazz were all set to draft Napier for Miami , but changed mind because Hood was still on the board.

Interesting. I wonder if the Jazz see Hood as a viable replacement for Hayward if he were to walk.
Absolutely.

With Trey and now Exum on board Hayward's playmaking is less relevant... we need a knock down shooter with size and defensive potential at the wing position.

I won't be surprise if we dont match.

The more I look into it, the more I like the Hood pick. I think he's going to be a quality scorer, and when I compare him to guys like James Young and even Doug McDermott, he does well by comparison. He's got range, he's got mid-range, he's got a bit of hesitation dribble, and he's got touch around the rim. He knows how to use space well, and he moves well. I think he's a guy who can put up 15 - 18 pts. in the flow of the game and be a reliable scorer for 25 - 30 minutes a night. Quality rotation player.

You can't have enough ball handlers, ask the Spurs.

The one thing you shouldn't have is unhappy ballhandlers.

And you know what you do once one of your ballhandlers becomes unhappy?
You talk to him and explain him the bigger picture, and if he's still unhappy you trade him before it getts public that he's unhappy.

NO ONE was happy last season. I think attitudes change completely with the new coaching staff.
Lindsey already said the offense is going to be based on ball movement, so that should be great for Hayward. It just depends on how Gordon would play as a SF. With Burks at SG and Exum playing behind both Burke and Burks, Hayward HAS to move to SF.
