If he can become more than decent, he can be a better pick than Exum.
easy there, champion.

Think he wants these last few roster spots hor vets to build around already large amount of young talent. No need for yet another rookie that won't play much.
To those expecting Hood to have a better rookie season than Exum, or the ones under the impression that Marcus Smart is more NBA ready than Dante. Ive gotta say it looks like Vegas disagrees.

This is a big call IMO
Visualizing Hayward's double block and Hood's James Harden signature defense, I would like to think he has a long way to go.
Could not disagree more.
Hood is a role player, Hayward is a starter.
So you take common potatoes over a nice juicy grilled meat?I've never been one to shy away from these big calls, tbh.
I'd take Hood's consistent 3's over this blocks any day of the week.
Suit yourself.
One cannot explain a point which stands there just for the heck of it.Care to explain why Hood is going to have a better career than Hayward? I would love to hear that.
Good percentage outside and good use of pick and pop though. Really promising and a need for the Jazz. Gives me comfort knowing the Jazz did not draft Stauskas.I've never been one to shy away from these big calls, tbh.

Yeah of course:
1. With the right conditioning and coaching, I believe that if he works at it he can be a better on-ball defender than Hayward. At the very least he won't get backed down as much. He probably won't have as many highlight chasing down blocks, but he'll be better at stopping his man in a half court situation.
2. I believe he could be a more consistent shooter both with the 2pt and with the 3pt shot. (he never dipped below 35% in college 3's, Hayward was below 30% in his last year of college ball)
3. Judging by the way he speaks and how he was able to become the Captain of Duke in his 1st year as a transfer, his character, etc, I do believe Hood is stronger mentally as a competitor/player.
We'll just have to wait and see at the end of the day, at least I'll live as I believe. No matter what they take from me - they can't take away my dignity.
