Woj: Jazz finalizing contract with German center Tibor Pleiss

How did you quote post #17 in post #15? Mind blown!

Are you suggesting I violated article 581 of the Temporal Agency's Constitution? That is absurd, sir. Time travel is NOT possible.

Welcome to the Jazz, Tibor Pleiss. Hope you can help every Jazz fan forget about the guy you were backing up back in Europe.

I don't know why anyone's worried about our budget and any of the contracts we dole out; our current situation is having $25k to spend on a vehicle and we opt for a 2013 Nissan Sentra with 30k miles.

What kind of options are we talking about here? Upgraded sound system? Leather seating? Moon roof? This **** matters when talking about the price, my man.

66 out of 90 3's is impressive for first time practice with Jazz, fine tune that **** we've got Memo 2.0!! Perhaps Memo can do some mentoring!?!!

Definitely not a bad thing to have another option to backup Gobert at the Center position besides our starting PF & a fringe NBA player. Haven't seen enough film on Pleiss to comment one way or the other on his prospects as an NBA player, but 3/10 (if I'm not mistaken), even with the salary cap as is, appears to be good-great value (assuming he is able to make the roster/stay healthy-ish). As the salary cap rises, obviously (hopefully) so will the value of the contract. If anything, I would have preferred a 4th year/team option (although I am unfamiliar with all of the contractual details/restrictions & assume that the agent preferred a shorter-term deal so as to speed up the process of securing a large(r) second contact).

If there is any truth to the rumor that Pleiss hit 66/90 3-pt shots (again if I'm not mistaken), then his shooting ability as a big-man alone will make him well worth his contract. I was unaware that he had anywhere near that type of range & if he is in fact 7'3", he could turn out to be the most valuable of the assets acquired in that Kanter trade. I have a feeling that the trade will turn out to be one that looks much better for us (especially depending on what happens regarding Kanter's contract/development) in the future than it did when it first occured.

So far, this has definitely not been the "flashy" off-season that some fans may have expected/hoped for, but considering the roster, needs, available resources, etc, this is exactly the style/type of off-season that is consistent with what DL has been doing during his tenure as GM & certainly seems to fit the mold/philosophy of the Spurs regime (staying within your restraints, acquiring & targeting players who fit the system/locker room, not overpaying or prioritizing any individual player, etc). Hopefully there is still a move or two left to be made, but as we currently stand, I expect serious improvement & possibly even a playoff berth/(hopefully) run.

I lost it when I read the article about Tibor being 7'3", and having a 9'7" standing reach.

Can you ****ing imagine? Teams feel relieved about Gobert finally stepping off the court-- oh wait, here comes another 7 footer.

We are absolutely going to **** other teams up next season. I am going to save up some money to purchase plane tickets to Utah in May of this coming year.
