What's new

Woj: Joe Ingles is finalizing deal to return to the Utah Jazz

Expected it. But didn't expect it this soon.

I actually did. Figured that he'd shop around. See what his value was and then hammer out a deal with the Jazz that everyone could live with. Seems to be exactly what happened. Just happy he's back.

A. Add Rubio
B. Add Mitchell and Bradley
C. Trade Lyles
D. Keep Jingles
E. Keep Hayward. . .

So far. . . so good. DL is having another stellar offseason. Get Hayward back under contract and everything else is gravy. Keeping Jingles should help Utah's pitch to Hayward.

Jazz have done everything Gordon asked them to do. Let's see what he does now.

Brought back Joe for a good price overall given his 3 n D prowess. Let's hope he can not only keep it up but improve on his game this season.

So how much could Jazz still offer Hill to stay under luxury tax cap

They are over the LT as soon as Hayward signs lmao. They have to figure out how to unload Burks. I dont think it should be hard though as it seems a lot of the young teams are opting not to spend on FA's so they can have the cap-room to take salary dumps. Will probably have to part with the 2018 Utah pick.

If they can dump Burks with taking nothing back, I think they have room for the MLE and that's it. Not positive though, they might not even have that.

Not the end of the world to pay a small tax fee for one year. We won't be massively into the tax, and won't get the repeat offender penalty.

Hate trading our 2018 1st considering Favors, Hood and Exum could all walk and Mitchell, Bradley and Bolomboy are so raw.

Invite Joe to join Rudy, Quin, Dennis, Gayle, and John Stockton in their meeting with Gordon.

We will have a MLE, but the smaller one.
