Successive games with disallowed goals on very questionable calls. Is the U.S. team like the Jazz? Will the officials allow the U.S. to win?
I think something will be reviewed. Honestly I do. The fact that they won doesn't mean that it wasn't an absolutely hosed call by the line judge. FIFA ruled back in 19-something that on close calls the benefit of the doubt goes to the offensive player on offsides calls. Today was just a pathetic demonstration of a line judge getting itchy with the whistle.

Not goin lie, I peed myself when that goal went in.

I'm happy, and now I get to watch the next match and say Schweinsteiger in a German accent over and over and over.

Saturday: USA v. Ghana
Sunday: Germany v. England

Oh what a weekend for the beautiful game this will be

USA VS. South Korea would be f-ing epic for me personally, Invite all the Koreans and soccer loving Americans that I know. Have a party. pure sweetness!!

U.S. couldn't ask for a better draw to get to the semi's. Ghana will definitely be the worst team left in the round of 16 and then it's either Uruguay or South Korea. Neither of those teams scare me at all. Great break for the Americans.

U learning Korean? dude, best language ever hands down. I hope and I pray that South Korea and America advance, that way even though I'll be 100% cheering for the US, at least one of my favorite teams will move on to the semi-finals.

It might even start a fight in my house considering my wife and I will be cheering for opposite sides. It'll be super fun to rub it in at all the koreans when the US moves on. Speaking of which I have an upstairs neighbor from Ghana. hmm OH YES

Uruguay has played well this tournament. Not a team to look past... We would have to play (shoot) considerably better than we did against Algeria.

As long as we're having a Korean love-fest, I served my mission there. I was just thinking, this very night, about how long it's been since I've eaten some good deok-pogi.

Mmmm.

Not how you spell it (Romanize it), so it took a minute to figure out what you're talking about.

Spent a year there teaching English, in Cheonan, interestingly enough, so I often root for them in international events and root against Japan.

Duk Boki?

Unfortunately, romanization is a hit and miss prospect, as there is not a rigid standard to work from. I would have much rather used the actual korean myself.

Anyway, I've been to Cheonan. I served in a little city outside of it called Onyang. Good times.
