There really is no need to add anything, but I just want to make sure I understand. An event featuring 32 nations (many small) from around the world, playing 79 games, with total seating capacity of 2.9 million is likely going to sell 98% of the available tickets AND have roughly 700 million people watch the final, and this somehow qualifies as a joke? Not one game is sold out. Great fans!
/thread.
Also, you frequently make grammatical errors.
Its not enough to say that this thread has been Archied.
Mega Archied?
Super Archied?
Archied Bitches?
Back to grade school, **** tard. Why, cause I have an opinion about not a single game being sold out at the biggest single sporting event in the world is a joke? (You should have heard Colin Cowherd's)

I made an error, true. How you gonna call me retarded when you don't even know how many games the World Cup has?
This is false. In general, I use those words when responding to ****ing morons. Like you, for example.BTW, GVC's post always, and I mean always consist of him saying things like; wrong, retarded, stupid, idiot. Issues?
Well, why did the World Cup committee choose South Africa as a host country then? Isn't that laughable with all of these problems?
A whole bunch of people are going to make a whole bunch of money, and hundreds of millions of people will be watching. Sounds like a joke to me.I don't think selling out every game is the sole measure of how successful the event will be.

A Cup draw got over double the viewers than the most watched super bowl ever. The cumulative audience of all matches of the 2006 World Cup is estimated to be 26.29 billion. The 2006 World Cup draw, which decided the distribution of teams into groups, watched by 300 million viewers.

Actually, in fairness to South Africa I believe not all the games in South Korea/Japan sold out, and I thought that was a pretty damn good WC. Sometimes it's hard for the local populace to get interested in a Uruguay/Denmark game, and both those countries are damn far away from the venue.
To put this in perspective, if every regular season NBA game were watched by 20 million people, they'd still fall short of the 2006 World Cup's cumulative viewership (20 million X 1230 games = 24.6 billion). Further, Game 6 of the NBA finals had a viewership of only 15.7 million people. The cumulative audience of all matches of the 2006 World Cup is estimated to be 26.29 billion
If by everyone you mean no one, then sure. Very few people are saying the World Cup is a joke. It seems as though most are saying the location was picked poorly, which is far more reasonable than what you've posted in this thread.https://myespn.go.com/s/conversations/show/story/5224927
Pretty much everyone of the comments on espn agrees with my view.
