Nope, If it was like the NFL where draft seedings are determined strictly by record it'd be different. Then I'd be all for the Jazz taking the 8th seed.
If the east continues to have 10 teams playing over .500 ball and the Jazz just miss the playoffs, they could have the 12th pick (less than %1 chance at getting the #1) or better.
PHX and the Mavs are the biggest competition for those 7th and 8th spots IMO. So there's a bunch of moving parts.
Not saying I want to see them tank. As long as they play games like last night, i'll be thoroughly entertained. The playoffs will be good with or without the Jazz tbh - It would be interesting to see them in a series as the dog, and steal one of the initial road games though..
