Would you make Mack available to Cavs?

The argument is he looked good enough to have trade value.

Yeah, but is a late first round from Cleveland really worth it? I dont think it is because Mack will have a lot of value to the Jazz especially early in the season.

First couple games when Mack joined the team were disasters, and a lot of it was chalked up to him rocking the boat roster-wise.

He put up good numbers though and the team bounce backed after the early malaise. Mack at his best was far superior to Neto on both sides of the court, and if we had him through a training camp prior to the start of the season we would have been a better team

Trey Burke would be the better target. What did we get for him a second rounder an cash? If CLE really is desperate they can throw there first rounder his way.

I would not be surprised if Jazz sign to vet minimum an cut Macke an Neto if Exum turns it up.

Our 2nd unit of:

Mack
Exum
Ingles
Diaw
Lyles

Mack is still the best player at creating his own shot out of those players. When Burks comes back he won't be that important but without Burks he becomes pretty crucial.
I'll give you he can create his own shot. He does very little to create a shot for others though.

Im surprised so many people are complaining about Mack after he had a pretty nice pre-season.

Mack already played behind Teague and Schroeder. I doubt he wants to be behind Hill and Exum. He's as good as gone at the end of the year and I don't blame him. I don't want a guy that doesn't fit our system all that well and is in a contract year. The Jazz should trade Mack. It's best for all parties.

Because he'd rather have a guy take a wide open shot instead of a contested shot over 2+ players? The terrible teammate is the guy who doesn't pass the ball.

I dont see Mack as a selfish player at all. He doesnt have the best vision, but I don't see any purposely missed players. You are way over-blowing the (lack of)quality of shots he takes. He shot >50% for a reason.

And yeah, you would be a terrible teammate if you called for a player to be traded just because he missed you on a couple times you were open.

So we are going to trade a solid player who can help us while we are injured? Maybe trade him at the deadline if everyone is healthy and firing, but now would be stupid just to get a low level asset.

I don't see how Mack helps with our current injuries.

Of all the lineup options(with our versatility there are a bunch) I don't find the ones involving Mack to be appealing.

He can play SG. Without Hayward and Burks we really lack a guy who can drive to the basket and collapse a defense. Mack can do that.
