Yes Means Yes law passed

Are these chicks too damn retarded to be able to say "no" if that's what they mean? I always figured "no" was one of a baby's first words and most of them use it often once they learn it.

I'm glad for you that you've never needed to unlearn it. I would hope you would exhibit a little empathy for those who have.

I regularly read stories about women who say "no" at parties, on bus stations, at conventions, etc., who are them subjected to a string of profanities and occasionally physical threats. After that happens a few times, people learn that saying "no" outright can be a very dangerous thing if you are a woman, so you try to passively discourage men without being forthright.

Can she change her mind after penetration? What about after ejaculation? Where is the cut-over point?

Are you asking me at what point you have the right to stick your genitals in someone's body, regardless of whether they want it in there or not?

Under California's bill, state-funded colleges and universities must adopt strict policies regarding sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence and stalking, among other actions in order to receive financial aid money.

If "strict policies" include no due process for the accused that's horrible policy coming from flawed data.

No way college "tribunals" should replace real police work and proper prosecution.

NO, the dangerous thing is not making it crystal clear to aggressive asses that their advances are unwanted and not reporting their threats to the police.

touching - making out - foreplay - initial penetration - intercourse - ejaculation - withdrawal

yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes no
yes yes yes yes yes no
yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes no
yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes no
yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes no

I think the question is where along this continuum can the yes turn to a no and still be considered actual consent or does it automatically become rape no matter where it falls.

Once they say no, get out da hole.

I agree completely. For generations, colleges have been hushing things up and preventing real police work and proper prosecution, and it's time they stopped.

So, no empathy at all for the woman at the bus station, who is having invectives and threats screamed at her. Next time she is approached, she should just accept that she might get screamed at or threatened again. You really think waiting absorbing 10-20 mintues of abuse waiting for the police (especially when the bus is due in 5) is the answer? Do you just not care, as long as you think you can support your view?

Definitely, getting a no (or just not having consent generally) any time before penentration, and then proceeding to penetrate, would be rape. After withdrawal, consent can not be retroactively withdrawn. In between would be a moral gray area, but I've never heard of a person who was convicted of rape when the woman acknowledged she changed her mind after penetration.

I know I've always made sure a girl wants to have sex with me, just before what feels like the oncoming moment of penetration, by asking, Are you absolutely sure you're okay with me sticking my member in you?

So what happens if she changed her mind after ejaculation but before withdrawal? Does male become a rapist once he withdraws?

Is a yes still a yes if it is preceded by 20 minutes of begging? Asking for a friend of a friend. Or something.

Is that the best you can do?
Next question. And please use a bit more creativity!

Final answer?!!!!!!

LOL?

At any rate, I do think this could have effects far beyond what y'all (ok, myself included) seem to be joking about.

Think about Jerry Sandusky and Penn State. Perhaps if there had been a firm stance against ALL forms of sexual exploitation that was unequivocally communicated to the students (particularly, in that situation, the student-atheletes) the sexual abuse of children that was taking place would have been reported much earlier.

(Edit: not just communicated to the students but also to the coaches and administrators. Perhaps ESPECIALLY to the coaches and administrators)

The woman has an inviolable right to change her mind anytime, on any subject, and rewrite history, if necessary to feel "good". In her own mind. Don't try to change that, it's a fool's errand. The moment you begin to reason with her, you lose.

The only way you don't wear out your welcome is when you actually still care. Any man who doesn't actually care about his woman is just using her. . . . . . doesn't anybody in here get that???? If she ends up feeling "used", what difference did any "consent" ever make?

So guys, if you really don't care, on a substantial and understandable level, you have no "rights", you're just going about life the "WRONG" way.

I don't think this law will ever be applied against a man who succeeds in letting his woman know he actually loves her in absolute terms.

So women are kind of like dogs? Is that what I'm getting here? Pet them behind the ears, give them a milk bone and talk in your sweet voice to them and you're in the clear?

Not offensive at all babe.
