As for the poll, Connery was so much better than anyone else, it's not even close. The real debate is who was second best.
Moore was always just a prop alongside the gadgets and girls. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Many of the Moore films are my favorites: great villains and amazingly beautiful women. And they came along during my adolescent years. But please...I never, ever want to see the love scene with Grace Jones again.
Not much to say about Dalton. He nearly destroyed the franchise. I was a big fan of Brosnan dating back to the Remington Steele days. Too bad Pierce couldn't have immediately followed Moore. Took me awhile to warm up to Daniel Craig. He's taken the character in a new direction, which is exactly what he needed to do. Bond films had become stale. Right now I'm torn between Brosnan or Craig as my runner-up to Connery.
