Jimmer is awful. We would wishing for Harris two weeks later and have to deal with zoobs during basketball season. Football season is bad enough.

How many good looks does Jimmer actually get out of King's offense? Legitimate question because I have yet to watch Jimmer. I know he is sucking terribly, but when you have a player as bad as Harris is playing you have to attempt to buy low on something also.

I've watched about 9 games of the Kings so far this year. (along with the Trailblazers and Nets. What can I say, I love following guys with Utah ties)

The Kings are selfish, plain and simple. Assists are rare and with the way the team operates, it's no wonder the 2nd unit has slowly turned to Isiah Thomas over Jimmer. He's faster and can make the cuts that Evans and Thorton play better with.

Yes, Fredette has fallen into a horrible situation, but nothing should excuse his shooting percentage. He seems rattled and indecisive when he runs the point, and looks down right lost. I don't care what situation you're in, but I expected more from Jimmer.

However, when Locke talks about how Jimmer is struggling because shooting windows close faster in the NBA, it's never been more true than it is in SacTown. I don't agree with the Armageddon view Locke has of Jimmer, but I do think Jimmer fanatics should be concerned if he doesn't get into a better situation. For his sake, he needs a system that allows him to play more of a role while he adjusts to the NBA, instead of system that requires every player to be on their own island pretending to be Superman.

I can practically hear Evans and Thornton humming their own theme music as they drive to the basket while being triple-teamed.

Sacramento Team FG%: .389
Fredette FG%: .333

With all that said, would I trade Harris for Fredette? Yes. I honestly think that Jimmer's style would fit in better, right now at least, with our current offense than Harris. I actually think that since SacTown has committed to letting their players run things with Smart being more a cheerleader, Harris would be a good marathon runner with Evans and Co.

I think it's a win-win, but I'm not so sure the Maloof's would be willing to give up on him just yet.

What leads you to believe he could run an NBA offense?

He is a very smart player. He is just turned 20 in December of 2011. He did a great job leading a UK team people thought was less talented than the previous year's team to a final four.

What leads you to believe he couldn't?

What units do microscopes measure in again?

The kind used at all BYU labs measure in man units. For example: "That's 3 man units" or "8 man units", depending on the user.

The kind used at all UofU labs measure in fantasy units, which explains the ego's of their irate fanbase and that nucular fusion fiasco.

2 somewhat realistic ideas.

1- Calderon - His assist to TO ratio is awesome, and his shooting percentages are good.
2- Augustin - He has good assist numbers, but his shooting is not that great.

I would feel more comfortable now with Calderon, but Augustin is younger.

Augustin seems realistic, but do the Bobcats really want Harris? I guess we can shuffle off Harris somewhere for expiring scrap, then give the Bobcats the trade exception from Memo. Augistin would then be on a 3/4 year trial to see if he is good enough to resign.

Knight - I'm not saying we should have drafted him, just adding to the conversation. Only 15 games into his rookie season and having being very young (being a one-and-done), he is averaging 12pts, about 3.5 in both rebounds and assists, and is hitting better than 50% from the field including better than 40% from three. He's solid.

He averaged 4.2 assist at UK. Isn't outstanding by any means, but is pretty good for a Freshman. So you are basically basing his future PG career off one season of college basketball?

Compared to other successful NBA point guards and how they performed as collegiate freshman, it leaves something to be desired.

In short, I like the kid a lot. But I doubt his ability to run an offense, his blow-by ability, and his ability to finish...all pretty important for point guards...

Uh, Knight's shooting 43.6% from the field...not over 50%.

Oops, I looked at the adjusted. From here forward, I would appreciate it if you would just take my word for it. Works much better for me.

By the way, I completely agree about his blow-by ability (lack) and that stagnated UK's offense at times last year. He's solid, for sure, but I don't see him ever being an elite PG.

Other than Irving, I'm not so sure who we "should have" drafted.....and unfortunately we couldn't get the #1 pick.

I like Knight, but I really like what I'm seeing out of Kanter. Not to mention that Enes was going to take a bit longer to develop anyway.

It's too early to say who's going to end up being better.
