Jazz trade:
Harris
Miles
Bell

Wizards trade:
Reshard Lewis
Shelvin Mack
2012 first round draft pick top three protected

Not sure if the wizards are this desperate to get Lewis off their books!

Jazz can deal with Lewis' bad contract cause it expires when we need our money plus we have memo's trade exception if we need to pick up another player in the offseason!

Any far fetched trade ideas to get Ricky Rubio?
He's already the best point guard in the league on my watch.

One mans opinion, but still....ouch. Thought we could get a little more for Harris than this guy is implying.

Devin Harris on the Move?—Will Anyone Want Him?
By Brett David Roberts, Yahoo! Contributor Network

Devin Harris has been under performing all season and no one really knows why. I mean, we didn't have any real precedence from last season's play to have an indication one way or the other as to what kind of season Harris may have in his first full year with the Jazz (not actually a full year!—or training camp for that matter!), so his struggles are a little perplexing from the standpoint that Harris has been a pretty decent player over his career.

Marc Stein of ESPN tweeted that he was hearing "rumblings" of a Harris trade rumor.

That of course begs the question to me: Which teams actually want Harris?

Who is willing to shell out anything more than a second round pick for an almost 29 year old with almost no upside that is averaging 8 points per game on 35% shooting? I've long expressed my feelings about Jameer Nelson's inadequacies as a beat writer for the Magic, but Jameer Nelson is still better than Devin Harris, and most NBA team's point guards are.

There are a few teams that might be foolish enough to line up for Harris' services. The Knicks—realistically—do not actually have any better options as they wait for a gimpy and overweight Baron Davis to make his return to the court. Adding Harris may or may not make them any better, but if they could obtain him for pennies no the dollar, maybe they would. They have also been mentioned to be interested in bringing back Raymond Felton, as Felton spent 56 games in a Knick uniform last season before being shipped to Denver in the Carmelo Anthony trade and eventually defecting to Blazers via free agency.

Harris wouldn't help a lot of teams, and at this point I really don't see any teams that would seek to "rebuild" with a guy like Harris who is no longer all that young to begin with. He offers almost no upside, which is deceiving because at his best he was pretty darn good (21+ ppg, 7+ apg). So, I would be disappointed to see any contender throw too much away on a guy who may not ever eclipse that level of production ever again (Then again, he just as well may, those things are hard to predict and this is afterall a shortened season).

We are basically stuck with Harris. I think we would have to trade a real asset to get anything real back/

....since Harris can't shoot worth a lick....maybe he could go back to playing good ball denial defense, like he did when he was with the Mavs.

As we talk about trades... A question to everyone: Have you heard any rumour about that the Jazz FO is ready to take Paul Pierce's contract and give Big Al and Harris to get Rajon Rondo. My friend says he's read this somewhere on the net but he doesn't remember where. I've searched it, couldn't find anything. He said that it says that we can get a big man like Chris Wilcox from Boston or another one via a third team in the trade to protect our front court depth and give CJ as well to fill Paul's space for Boston. If there is such a rumour I'm pretty sure local fans should've heard this.

If there is, that would make us like this...

C---> Favors / Kanter / an X big
PF---> Millsap / Favors / Evans /Kanter/an X big
SF---> Pierce / Howard / Hayward /Evans
SG---> Hayward / Bell / Burks
PG---> Rondo / Watson / Tinsley /Burks

Here is this trade in ESPN machine... I didn't add Wilcox or another big man but it can be added I guess.

Would Boston do this and would you do this for our team?

Here`s one trade that is possible, but with some major concerns: We trade Harris to LA and get Redick from Orlando, who then ship Howard & Turk to LA for Bynum and Gasol. We get rid of Harris and get a much needed shooter. But, if Burks cannot play some minutes as PG, we need to include Bell so our young guards don`t suffer too much. Another issue is that we help the Lakers get Howard. Harris could also fit better in there and would improve their theam, but we would not have to worry about either Bynum or Gasol playing for the Lakers anymore.

The salaries match in this trade. It is doable and we would also save a few million in salaries over the next two years. I am not sure if I`d pull the trigger though.

The ones with Augustine and Hinrich are the two that intrigue me the most. We shouldn't have to give up both a draft pick and Harris for Calderon.

To me, if the Jazz really consider this kind of a trade, it means that they feel like an elite and young PG to complete a young frontcourt is the missing piece.

I used to like watching Paul Pierce -by the way he was phenomenal the other day against WAS- but not anymore. 3 years of Pierce in Jazzland means lots of fake injuries, off-the-court problems, "small market" complaints etc. If he is the player he is right now -a champion, respected veteran-, it's thanks to KG and Allen. Yes, he was and is the face of the franchise but the character, attitude that defines this Celtics should be attributed to KG, Allen, and coach Rivers, much more than to Pierce. I just cannot think of Pierce leading this young Jazz squad. He is not that kind of a veteran IMO. I also think that Pierce wants to finish his career in Boston, and would not welcome any kind of trade to send him somewhere else.

As for Rondo; giving up BigAl for 4 years of Rondo makes sense only if it's probable from the Jazz FO standpoint that:
- there will be no elite PGs around when 2013 Free Agency comes along
- the PGs of forthcoming drafts either will not have the potential to make their teams contenders, or will need significant time to develop into elite, franchise cornerstone players.

Agreed on most of it. I'm in fact scared to see 35 years old Pierce in Jazz uniform too. On the other hand thinking Rondo in Jazz uniform is exciting. But I'm not on the "let's trade Harris with the first chance bandwagon" already. Yes, a good trade makes me happy if it happens this season. But I believe a wise and well examined long-term plan would be the most rigth thing and would display the noble face of the Jazz Franchise.

What about Harris for Ramon Sessions since Irving is playing so well?

KOC - "Hey Cleveland, since your rookie PG is playing so well you think you'd be interested in trading your backup PG"
Cleveland GM - "Sure, we could use....."
KOC - "Take Devin Harris"
Cleveland GM - "Wait, why would we trade a cheap back-up PG for an expensive back-up PG when the production is nearly the same?"
KOC - "Errrrrr..... IDK utahjazz107 told me to do it. He has a picture of Sloan as his avatar so he fooled me I guess."

NO trades : Jack & Ariza
Utah trades : Harris & Miles

Thoughts?
Or Bell instead of CJ but I think an expiring is more attractive so I went with CJ

Kings trade : J. Thompson & Jimmer
Jazz trade: Harris & Bell

I know there are many Frodo haters here but Miller needs to sell tickets.

Would you and the kings pull the trigger?

The other problem with this trade is it would end with Deron most likely going to Dallas! So why our young guns are developing we are creating a harder western conference!

Maybe, but it would also reduce the Lakers two a two-man team with Kobe & Howard filling up their cap space almost alone and they will have absolutely no trade assets to get younger studs in.

So do the Maloofs...

Gives the Jazz even more bigs.

I'd think on it if I were GM. Kings won't because they're looking to spend as few dollars as possible.
