What's new

You're the GM this offseason. What do you do?

The only thing that worries me about Zion is potential injury with his size, he's got everything else you'd want from a #1 prospect including the ability to really give a **** about wanting to play and wanting to improve, which is an underrated aspect of prospects with Andrew Wiggins probably being the flagship example of what a poor mental makeup can do to an otherwise stacked prospect from a talent standpoint. I think he's definitely overrated to a degree because the rest of the draft class sucks but he's still a top tier talent and imo the best prospect from a consensus standpoint since AD (I'd contest Luka was a better prospect personally but the consensus was a bit split on Luka the prospect).

can't play in the NBA at that weight

I think he can. Im not sure what makes you think he cant. He clearly has broken the mold on how athletic you can be at his size.

Having said that, I think he would be wise to drop maybe 20-30 lbs. Id be curious to see how high he could jump after that.

I don't know how you can look at Zion and think he's "vastly" overrated. He deserves to go #1. Whether he reaches the level of Lebron is debatable but to call him vastly overrated is just weird.

Good post.

Nobody should be comparing this guy to LeBron though. That's unfair to Zion and LeBron.

Zion will you make guys look like fools

I'm not sure people watched him play. Maybe just watched highlights. He will be phenomenal. I think he drops a little of the bad weight and slims up a bit, but he's so damned explosive and has a great feel for the game. Can't wait to see guys try and stop him with a spaced floor and would love to see him free of RJ Barrett.

I think our big summer signing will end up being Jabari if Washington decides to decline his $20 million option.

We could sign Jabari and keep Favors. I think that's what the FO will do if they miss out on the bigger fish.

He looks like a very good prospect. The hype is way, way, way out of wack for a guy that hasn't demonstrated much basketball skill or frankly the care to be in actual good shape. His natural athleticism is out of this world and he seems like a nice kid with a good natural proclivity. Whether he reaches the level of LeBron isn't debatable.

I think he's Blake Griffin. Which is great, not anywhere near the best prospect of all time OMG.
