Zach Lowe tells Utah (and a couple other teams) what to do in free agency

Hey everyone, let's go sign Lamarcus Aldridge. Talent is cheap these days. I'm sure Favors will be cool with that.

Can never have too much talent.

If we could sign Aldridge we should... you could trade him for lots of good stuff... you are being so dumb.

You are aware LA is going to cost over 20 million per year?

We aren't talking about adding a super-star veteran 3rd contract max contract.

Also, if we add Middleton, that dude is 23 and his cake is definitely still baking, so it would still be baking the cake.

I got to be honest. I just like arguing with you **** faces. You are like argument black holes.

Who cares. It's talent and it's cheap.

I never pass up a sale. Money just burning holes in my pockets.

If you don't think Burks is going to be upset if he gets limited minutes, you are crazy.

It's fine if you just aren't sure about him, and wouldn't mind moving on. I have my questions too.

But think about it. Burks spend all that time on the bench waiting his turn playing behind guys like Raja Bell, now you want to tell him he's going back to the bench with limited minutes for the foreseeable future, or until someone gets hurt. Or that it's a competition but not really because you promised your new prized free agent minutes.

It's not going to go well. I promise you it wont. Players want to play, especially if they feel they have earned it and are good enough. You can convince a guy like Ingles he has to earn it and wait his turn, but not Burks. He has already been through that.

Derrrrrr.... make same mistakes, repeat history, me learns nothing.

If you're arguing Alec Burks, an average NBA player, should be entitled to 35 minutes a game for the next 4 years without competition, I don't know what to tell you.
Guess how many minutes hall of famer Manu Ginobli has averaged over the course of his career.............26.7.
That's exactly what Burks would be getting if we got another elite wing. Maybe more if they go small ball Hayward at PF.
Not to mention we could give them nights off once in awhile.

Don't you understand Hack Hayward is these guys deity you can mess with anyone else on the team.

Burks, Hood they are throw aways compared with Hayward that crapped out the last games of the year getting us almost to the playoffs.

What none of these jackals realize is the only untouchable player on the team is Gobert without him we would have had the sixth pick overall because he was the only AllStar caliber player we had last year also that Hood stepped up and did what Hayward has never done became a knock down shooter.

You aren't listening to what I'm saying.

I've clearly said that moving on from Burks is an option. I have my doubts about his fit and talent.

My argument is that if you really like Burks, then you have to think twice about hiring his replacement.

You don't just add players just because you can.

Have a ****ing plan man.

Hayward is to our offense what Gobert is to the defense. We would score 80 points a game without Hayward. I consider them equal, but Gobert will *probably* overtake him in value next season.

I get it, just don't think he's going to mind if we're winning 50+ games. And I think we would be.

Actually I would argue against LA just because I'm not a fan of his game at all.

But lots of guys do like his game.

Just imagine you are DL... LA wants to sign here for the max. You tell him no?

I don't love his game either, but I'd sign him in a second... look at all the teams lining up for him.

He would never sign here though because he'd likely end up going full Ron Burgandy if he had to see Gobert in practice every day... he'd be wandering the temple grounds with a full beard talking about milk being a bad choice by all star break.

This place is funny.

Do you all know why Paul Millsap wouldn't sign with us again? You do realize that players will make decisions based on how you handle them right? You do know that's part of it right? And you do know this isn't a video game. Right?

Ya, players could care less what you do with them. Never has a player gotten upset based on decisions made by management.

NBA 2k bitches. All the chemistry setting turned off, let's do this.

You know who wins championships... teams with players that are willing to be used however is best for the team...
