Wells Report concluded that the Patriots violated rules and Tom Brady was aware

....I'm just spitballing here, but what are the chances that ALL of those incriminating phone text messages have long been deleted off of his phone, the ball guys phone, the equipment managers phone, etc. etc. etc? Are you saying that ANY and all text messages can be retrieved after they have been deleted from a cell phone? Explain, please!

Once text messages are subpoena'd by a court of law, I believe they can compell the phone company to produce said messages. I could be wrong on this, but I do believe they continue to exist after being deleted from a phone.

If Brady wants to prove his innocence then he'll sue. If he's guilty and just covering it up (aka the Patriot way) then he'll appeal and live with the results. My guess is he's guilty and just doesn't like the consequences. So once this gets heard by Goodell he'll live with the results of arbitration.
.
Once this goes to legal action all of those things he did not want to show the investigators become fair game. If he has something to hide he will never go beyond the arbitration process.

*You're absolutely fooling yourself if you think the Patriots are alone in pushing beyond the rules. They are spotlighted for a number of reasons, and their are coups (<-- not exaggerating) that try to expose them and bring them down. Every single team has their ways of pushing beyond the rules, both on the field and off.

*There are a number of reasons why this won't go all the way to the legal finish line; it won't be determined solely by Brady and his defense of his legacy or some **** like that. The NFL has a lot of reasons they don't want it to go there, too.

I'm a lifelong Pats fan with some decent connections to things, so let me just say this:

Is it probable that NE was pushing the rules with inflation of the balls? Yes. Is it probable that other teams do this, too (e.g. Green Bay)? Yes, it is EQUALLY probable.

Are there problems with the Wells Report (which I've read, btw)? Definitely. Big problems. Chief among them are (a) that there isn't any scientific evidence given for loss of psi due to worsening weather conditions and play (which certainly happened); (b) there isn't ANY direct evidence that any deflation of the footballs was meant to take the balls below the minimum level.

This all seems like a microcosm of the Spygate issue (which many teams were also doing, btw):

Spygate: The Pats get caught doing something... which results in absolute scrutiny from the league... which results in the Patriots steamrolling the entire league. Ruthlessly

Deflategate: The Pats get caught doing something... which results in scrutiny and halftime adjustments... which results in Brady absolutely murdering the **** out of the Colts in the second half.

I will give you that other teams push in different areas. But once you push to far you are breaking the rules. NE has been in this scenario before. These footballs and their levels of inflation is not why they beat the Colts. However I fully support the integrity of the game argument. The Pats, again, cheated and got caught. I would expect this was a long time practice and it could have affected the outcome of any number of the games that determined playoff seeding, who made the playoffs and playoff advancement.

Changes need to be made but the Pats gettign punished is the right call. As for other teams doing it...then if/when they get caught then they need to be punished as well. Even if it is my beloved Broncos.

first i don't believe brady with huge friggin hands want to play with under inflated ball which would hurt his passer rating and his ability to throw a deep ball.

So, what you're saying, is you've never played football in cold/wet weather. If you had, you would understand.

...so your saying that EVERY text message that's ever been sent and EVERY text message that's ever been deleted on EVERY phone in the history of cell phones.....are still available for courts to see and read?

ok, so you are basically saying brady probably cheated 3 games per year. cool. ok, so take 3 wins per year away from brady's cheating ***. he still becomes the 2nd winningest QB in this era. lol

again, let me emphasize how stupid this whole thing is. there is no real difference between 11.5 vs. 12.5 and if you played the game before. none. and science already proved that 1psi loss can naturally occur. so basically we are talking about .5 psi which absolutely has zero difference. and in the afcc, weather started out - 51 degrees relative humidity 71%, wind 15 mph. and then i think it dropped to about 43F. not a typical freezing january in foxborough. and we all know brady played much better with a properly inflated ball that day.

also maybe it maybe easier to get adjusted to 12.5 psi ball rather than trusting 2 idiots to deflate the football every sunday. maybe brady isn't so dumb. oh well, maybe he is an idiot to get caught. oh wait, he never got caught at anything. what did he do again?

So Kraft accepts the punishment and is not pursuing it further. So he knows his team is guilty and has to listen to Brady lie over and over again to the public. Wish Brady could just be a man and admit he cheated and stop lying. Clearly this helped out this team. I assume the same thing will happen when the got caught cheating last time and they wont be winning the Super Bowl for awhile until they can find a new way to cheat.

Pats are good enough to be competitors without cheating so I wont say no more Superbowls.

But lol at not appelaing the decision. Brady probably told them he did it and they decided not toa ppeal as it would be worse.

They are good, but have only won a super bowl when we know they were cheating. The other years they are a playoff team that isnt good enough to win it all.

The first domino has fallen. Today, Kraft pulled a complete 180 and has "reluctantly" accepted punishment. This should be a good indicator for those who can see through the ******** that the NE organization wanted no part in court proceedings in which subpoenas can be handed out, people can be forced to testify, and evidence can't be given/hidden on a whim. Funny see a guy who was screaming from the rooftops less than a week ago that his team was 100% innocent of any wrongdoing and vowed to see this fight through to the end give up at the drop of a hat. If that doesn't make you wonder, it should.

The next domino is Brady. Brady is so adamant about his innocence, he needs to put his money where his mouth is, but he won't because he's guilty as hell and he's afraid to go to court too. Whether the NFL upholds the 4 game suspension, or say, cuts it to 2 games, you're gonna see Brady come out and do the EXACT same thing Kraft just did today. Mark the tape.

ah butt hurt bronco fan - how's the national embarrassment of your team getting gang raped by seahawks in the SB treating you still?
brady maybe a cheater, but brady > peyton. lol i mean it's not even close. give brady a brick and peyton deflated football. results will be the same. lol

anyway, this is probably what happened. kraft and goodell at the part had a long conversation -

kraft - "roger, you really screwed me up with this deflate crap."
goodell - "my bad Bob, but there are 31 other jealousy owners riding my ***."
kraft - "yacht and a new private jet aren't enough? what about the private island i gave you? you are one greedy mo#$fo"
goodell - "this power. it's intoxicating. i want more."
kraft - "i'm gonna accept the penalty, but no more. You are done with me. so who's next on the list?"
goodell - "Jerry Jones."
kraft - "it better be Jerry. it better be."

ask yourself why this whole thing happened in the place. why the football was measured during the half time for the first time. that's right. it's because pats and brady wins. winning creates haters. it's so easy to hate a great american who only farts greatness
