Official UofU homer thread

If Utah forces 3-4 turnovers and Adams doesnt play or struggles and Utahs offense does something resembling productive then this game could be within 14 points, but still a loss.

Also didnt know this current Utah team had won at Autzen stadium.
You honestly think that a team that has 4 TO's, poor QB play, and allows the other team's offense to be productive can still win a game. Is this bizzarro world? That is a recipe for failure in college football no matter who you are. Oregon is a good team, maybe even a great team, but they are not invincible. The Utes may not be some imposing national power this year, but they have the right mix to cause Oregon problems. I think this game will be closer than you realize.

Your D gave up big numbers to 2 vastly inferior opponents. What happens when they face a team that's good? We'll see this weekend (and we already saw what happened with MSU).

TL;DR Don't sleep on the Utes.

Utah struggled and barely beat a very piss poor Utah state team with hobbled quarterback that got lucky in their only win of the season against SUU.

Oregon slept against Utes last year to start, then woke up and blew them out of the water in a sub par game from their quaterback.

Probably I am living in the same bizzaro world where you think Utah has a decent chance at winning this game.

Oregon has faced a good team, a much much better team than Utah and barely lost a close game. Oregon did give up some numbers to inferior teams, Oregon often does this. They dont play that hard and put in lots of backups early and often against poor teams, I am guessing Utah will end up with decent numbers since Oregon will have their backups in for most the second half in a blow out again.

That game wasn't a blowout until well into the 4th quarter. In the 4th quarter Utah had come back to get within 3 (27-30) but the wheels fell off because our defense was gassed and we had our backup QB in who can't throw to save his life.

A subpar Mariota game is not the same as a subpar Adams game. Mariota was/is elite. A 'bad' game from him was 124 yds rushing/240 yds passing/0 Int's? If you think Adams has a bad game and gets near those numbers you're homerism is worse than mine.

Oregon won the TO battle 2-0 last year. Notice how turnovers played a HUGE role in that game.

Did you even watch that game? You make it sound like Oregon breezed through it. But that is just not true. To say Oregon will win is logical, they are the better team. But to say they'll win as you have described is overly arrogant.

Haven't missed an Oregon game in about a decade. Maybe Oregon should be worried about a bottom of the barrel pac12 team, but I don't think so.

Yes it got close last year and Oregon decided to end it and blew them out.

Every game is close at some point, that didn't mean its not a blow out.

Broncster is the equivalent of Cy. They are BYU fans trying to dress up as fans of other programs just to troll. It hard, and I don't always do, but just ignore them.

Cy is not a byu fan.
Or do you just think of anyone who is not a ute fan as a byu fan?

Lol, ute fans.

1. **** off dont you be dissing my Ducks loyalty.

2. Thanks for proving how few ute fans there are and how many just BYU haters in disguise.

3. Keep your hope up for this game so it hurts more in the blowout.

4. You should go back to scheduling byu and mwc teams so you can feel good again.

Them Ute fans are optimistic. All week I have been hearing claims that you will probably win. Oregon is better at every position. I will be shocked if this game is within 14. Last year every thing went Utahs way early and it was still an easy Oregon win and this one's a home game. Ducks are a little down this year but not to Utahs level. Utah is not as good as MSU who barely beat Oregon in a game that everything went wrong for them.

Prepare to be shocked. I don't think Utah will win. But I don't expect a blowout either.

Somebody apparently didn't read the title of this thread.

All I can say is I'm gonna laugh really hard when Oregon fails to get into the CFP, just special for you Broncster. Your blind flavor of homerism, and unwillingness to engage in actual conversation about a game put you in great company.

I am a Ute fan through-and-through, but at least I can be realistic about my team. And the Utes are not a basement PAC-12 team... middle of the road? yeah, but not basement material. In the few years since we joined the PAC-12 the recruiting has picked up and so has our ability to compete. We've done our part to make the PAC-12 look good.

Reread title, that makes sense why he's talking about byu in here.

Good post.

P.S. I always get gregbroncs, broncster, and bronco 70 confused

I was being sarcastic and making fun of how much they talk about some other football team they don't even play in their thread.

Ah I see.
I was getting confused from all the posters with bronc in their names

I don't think Oregon is making the cfp this year. I guess we will see after this game.
