Zach Lavine's rise to greatness

That trade going to lose the league for you though. You positioned yourself to where all you had to do was not do anything retarded and you were pretty much guaranteed to go to the Finals again. Not sure you will now.
It only hurts my assists. I'll still be good in every other category. Ill still have a chance to win it all.

And I'm also not worried about this Lavine thing. He's still young. Soon as Rubio goes down, they'll put Lavine at point guard. Then he'll tear it up, and I'll be back in assists. I have some already. It's a crowded situation there, but they'll eventually go to Lavine. There is too much potential in Lavine not to.

Still don't think Hack can do anything to mess up his team. He's got Anthony Davis and Steph Curry. Two of the top 5 fantasy players. Those 2 players alone should ensure he makes the Finals every year for the next 5 years.

Oh and he's also got Gobert.

The last 7 days for Zach Lavine since Rubio has been out, and that's not including tonight's strong performance of 25 points in 17 minutes on 53% shooting

29 mpg
47% FG
83% FT
18 ppg
4 rebounds
4.8 assists
1.8 steals

That's what he would average if he was the starting point guard. And the kid is only 20 years old. Compare that to Andrew Wiggins who puts up inferior numbers across the board except points barely, but gets a pass, and Lavine is a scrub according to some.

18-4-5 this year?
Basically Hayward stats??

By the way i Picked him 170th overall during 13th round in my fantasy nba team.

So far when he has got starter minutes he's put up those numbers.

Alright, fine. You want hardcore "evidence" that Zach Lavine will be a star? NAOS style?

Without out a doubt, this proves Zach Lavine will be great, since numbers are the only thing that matters.

In the month of April last years, as a rookie, this is what Zach Lavine averaged

21.1 ppg
6.6 assists
5.8 rebounds
47% FG
88% FT

Those are Allstar guard like numbers. Bad team or not. It's not unheard of that good players have been on bad teams either. So that argument is dead in the water.

My stats>NAOS stats

I win argument

Averaged these numbers last year when he got burn. Don't think it was all that hard to guess he could do it again. But I guess since he wasn't drafted number 1 overall he can't be considered a good prospect.

Here's the reality of his play .... quoted from a TWolves site so not biased " Zach LaVine, point guard for the Minnesota Timberwolves, played 2 and half quarters while the Indiana Pacers built a 27 point lead. It was a particularly poor team performance, and LaVine's defense and inability to run offensive sets efficiently was a major contributor"

"So far this season, when Zach LaVine is on the floor, the Wolves are roughly 9 points/100 possessions worse than when he's not"

"Handing him minutes at a position he clearly is not capable of playing at an acceptable level right now has got to stop. It isn't fair to fans or to the team, which has an opportunity to be pretty successful"

There's more but i'll leave it at that. He has a whole lot of learning to do before he even boards the rocket that will launch him into the stars of greatness

Man, that's just a bunch of nonsense. He's 20 years old. The Jazz run Trey Lyles out on the court in the name of development and he's worse than bad. Certainly he's worse than Zach putting up 25 points in 17 minutes on 53%FG. The Jazz have a whole lot more to lose too. The TimberWolves can just write off the season as development, as they should. They are doing it for Wiggins and Towns. Why not Lavine? Wiggins isn't there tearing it up. He chucking at 42% clip and not getting any assists or rebounds. Why the hell should that be ignored and Lavine be criticized so much? Possibly a retarded bias maybe?

Jazzfanz logic

Exum sucks on the court right now, but will get better because he's young and has potential, so Jazz should be patient.

Lavine though, who cares what he's doing now and that he's only 20 and shows even more potential than Exum. He will never get better and will never learn how to play better., because well, that's what I want to think. Sounds cool in my head.

lol touchy .... Do you actually even watch games and see how aware players are or just read off stats ? Do you know how the Grizzlies guards did against Lavine today ?
