Kobe's last game against the Jazz. Outcome? (April 13th game thread)

I am glad I fell asleep last night because the outcome of this game was exactly what I feared. Now any time Kobe is mentioned they will show his last game and the Jazz pathetic embarrassing effort will be forever part of NBA history. THis game is a fitting end to a season where the Jazz couldn't finish a game they led. Hopefully, some players will grow balls over the summer and realize how embarrassing their performance was down the homestretch.

We avoided a coin toss with WASH for the 12th pick. Now we get 12th outright.
I don't think we know what pick we get until after the lottery

Exactly, I would've preferred to win this game, but now we get the 12th pick for sure and you just never know if that 1 spot can make a difference.
What if the team with the 13th must long ping balls wins the lottery? Man that would suck.

Let's be real, folks. The truth was we let Kobe have his way and then at the end didn't really try to win. Did you see the ridiculous half-hearted 3's we took at the end. Plus you'll note that Hood barely played the second half. You know if we wanted to win, one, we wouldn't have taken those kind of shots, and two, Hood would've been playing.

Did you see the defense we played on Kobe, just put a hand in his face without trying to block the shots. There really wasn't any incentive to win after Houston won. The truth is we didn't care whether we lost and in fact it was to our advantage to lose. More than you can say about Corbin who tried to win and made us lose our chance to get Lillard.

This isn't about pride but about the real truth of what happened. The Jazz tipped their hat to Kobe and I'm sure he will always look favorably on the Jazz organization. As you probably know Quin and Kobe are friends.

Impressive. Granted, I don't see all the misses but on the makes, it looked like our guys were pretty much in his face most of the time.

Hood wasn't playing at the end because he tweaked his ankle and was limping, according to Snyder in his post-game interview.

I'm tired this morning - took me a long time to wind down from the excitement of the game. Can I call in sick with a Kobe hangover?

Kobe 60, Jordan the shot, both against the Jazz.

Sigh.

Meh, most people don't seem to care that it's the Jazz he did it against. The general consensus on the realgm thread is that the Jazz rolled over and Kobe just made some incredible shots.

The game made WWE legit. The stat of the night last night was CJ +19 while on the floor. I think bringing Burks back was a mistake if the Jazz wanted to make the playoffs. They should have rode with what got them to the end.

My 78-year-old mother watched the first three quarters of the game last night while making statements such as "I don't know what the fuss is about. I've never thought Kobe was all that good." This morning after hearing about the end of the game, her comments were along the lines of "so he got 60 points, that's not a big deal."

My question is: Do I have her checked first for insanity or for dementia?

LOL - she's fine. Sounds like a typical Jazz fan.

I didn't want to say it, but it's bad luck to post a game thread for a game until it is the next game. Thanks for costing us the playoffs.

Grab your four leaf clovers and string of garlic. Don't cross the paths of any black cats. Bad luck??? Bad luck??? Your an idiot.
