Jazz vs Phoenix

I'm wondering if our best lineup is.

Hill
Exum
Hayward
Favors
Gobert.

Our bench would be scary good.

Mack
Burks
Hood/Johnson
Diaw/Johnson/Lyles
Lyles

My hell the Jazz are deep as hell

Ridiculous way to give away a dominate game like that at the end.

Love seeing Gobert with Exum. It's what was missing most in Rudy's game last year.
With Diaw and Dante feeding Rudy, he's going to have a chance to break out.

Also, nice to see George Hill bring some flash to the team. LOVE the yellow shoes on my HD TV.
With the new court, and unis. So much eye candy to feast on. Now we are finally great something to look at.

Please get healthy Hay and Fav. Favors yearly injuries worry me. Him being out right now
is of greater concern than Gordon. Hayward will be fine, and I have the feeling he shows up on opening night.
What the is hell is up with DFav. He cant ever seem to make it through a season. Last year he came in yoked,
and looked awesome. Then got injured. This year he came in looking strong, and ready and boom. Hes out AGAIN.

Overall still super pumped about everything. We can see this years success will come down to health over all.
Stay healthy and we have a chance to be super sexy with a great run. Injuries hitting us all season and we will
hover around the 7th seed.
I wonder if Favers would be playing if this were the regular season?
I could care less about how the SL Stars fared against the Suns second team. Preseason Ws and Ls are moot. Important is finding out what we've got from our rotation players (pretty damned good signs), developing team chemistry and getting healthy.
Glad I missed the second half.

Obviously a good game from Exum. I'm not thrilled with where his handle is, though. And he'll need to get much better at finishing at the rim with contact.

I'm maintaining a "no panic" view of Exum all season, but those are the issues I see right now.

To bad we have to cut someone because I really like 16 players on this squad.

I like Neto, Withey and C. Johnson. They are all flawed but I just like them.

So excited for this season, yes we played the Suns...

I think Withey and Chris Johnson will be cut. Right now Withey is dead to Snyder witness his DNP last night.

There was a discussion before the draft as to whether Booker will turn out to be more Klay or JJ ... I thought JJ, but it turns out he could be as good as Klay (i.e., a more complete scorer).

Except that Klay is a good defender, and Booker is apocryphal.

Not worried about this one. Phoenix played their best players 25+ and then their rotation players to get the win. We played everyone to see who makes the roster/D-League. Phoenix will be easy wins come the regular season. Exum looked good - I think his confidence is more important than anything else and he's looking much less timid. Once he plays more he'll tighten up on the fundamentals.

lmfao, Withey played a bunch the game before. None of them are "dead". Snyder is evaluating.

That's good.

Relative to where he was? Yes. Relative to what will make him a successful project for the Utah Jazz? No. There's a ways to go.

I'm not knocking the guy. I'm excited about his ceiling. But his handle is further away than I'd hoped.

Exum is going to suck offensively against any average to above average defensive team.

Kinda, the numbers won't be there at all, but he also won't be stopping the ball, turning it over much, or making poor decisions. He'll revert to his spotup along the perimeter strategy, which is the wise thing to do as far as collecting wins go, and against the worse teams the Jazz will experiment more with him as a primary playmaker in the pick and roll. The Jazz will utilize him exactly as they should.

There's a way to go for sure, but I'm thrilled to see the progress since he last played. His aggressiveness is there and the crispness in his passing also improved greatly since two years ago. Let's see if his stamina improves from his rookie year as well. With the improvement he has shown so far through 4 games, there's no doubt his all around game will improve even more, along with his handle.

I think it means there is about to be a round of cuts pretty soon and Quin wanted to thank the guys who signed onto camp with some playing time before they got cut.

Yup, just like I thought, the 3 random dudes who got playing time for the first time in pre-season got cut the next day.

Interesting in the story about the cuts the DN said the last spot is down to Henry Simms, Withey and CJ. I thought Simms was a camp body and future Salt Lake Star. Interesting.

Kiwis are chill.... but Downunder's not a Kiwi, he's an Aussie.

Hint: His location is "Melbourne".

Oof.

He is. You are reading to much into it. The paper is being factual.

With the way Bolomboy has played, I think you are right about Withey. CJ may stick unless DL sees a guy he likes who is cut by someone else ( like how Ingles was acquired).
I can empathize with Jeff (first the gf/wife, then the job). Of course, he has a tidy sum to live on.

Well, 17 players left in camp. I don't think the DN reporter has any inside info. You Don't have to be proficient in common core to do the math. The injuries to Favs and Hayward probably have Quin wanting to keep a couple extra for the remaining preseason minutes.
