Who'd you rather have; Goran Dragic or George Hill?

Interestingly enough they were born 2 days apart in 1986..

Prediction; Much (off-topic)attention will be paid to the fact that I created this thread.

Reminder; This is in fact a good question. One worth asking for a variety of reasons.

Dragic is on the books for 35MM the next 2 seasons then has a player option for 19MM in the summer of 2019. Hill as we know is a pending unrestricted free agent.

The season stats, I'm gonna leave em up there blind you figure out who's who.
MPG; 31.6 - 34.3
PPG; 17.8 - 20.3
FGA's; 12.8 - 15.2
FG%; .475 - .484
3PTA's; 5.0 - 3.8
3PT%; .394 - .437
FTA's; 4.2 - 5.0
FT%; .792 - .787
GP; 31 - 48
RPG; 3.4 - 3.9
APG; 4.0 - 6.3
TO's; 1.4 - 3.2
PER; 20.4 - 19.4
Blocks and Steals pretty much identical.

Not responding to any posts in this thread so have at it.

I was going to add some valuable dialogue but then I saw that you weren't going to be responding to any posts.

If you factor in contract situation Dragic... if you factor in the assets needed to make a trade it'd be Hill. I think I'd rather overpay hill.

Two pretty equal players. Would be better to have the one who's under contract longer and will probabaly make less money next year. Not sure what the point is.

Two important things here.

1) Defense matters. Dragic is not so great at it, Hill is.

2) Pace. Dragic thrives in a fast pace, not so much with a slow pace. Snyder refuses to play at a fast pace with this team. We don't even attack in transition. I don't see Dragic being a better fit than George.

I really doubt Quin refuses to play at a fast pace (he has said he wants to play faster and you can hear him yell at the team to push the pace at times), I think it's more of the personnel on the team and how they are use to playing the last few years. Old habits die hard.

He doesn't want to play fast with this personnel for defensive reasons. I understand it, I just don't agree with it.

No, I think he wants to play faster. He is yelling at them all the time to push the ball.

Well then his coaching/teaching is ineffective as hell. And we never, ever, Rush. We could be down 10 with 2 minutes left and walk the ball up. It happens consistently. That's coaching man.
