I think it's just habits and the fact we have a slow paced roster. Very little to do with coaching. AB goes in there and he tries to push and attack because he is a player that can do that.

He tells them to play faster, you can hear him during the game and during interviews talking about wanting to play with more pace. The Jazz have slow players who play slowly. It's a lot of habit and it's personnel just being slow for their positions at a lot of positions. It's 100% just a habit with our players. It's their comfort zone.

It's not like he can just snap his fingers and they all the sudden becomes a top 10 pace team or he can teach them a whole new play style mid season.
 
That was a big part of the reason why Larry Bird wanted to go from Hill to Teague, he wanted a PG who could push the pace better. We just don't have a great team to play fast. I wish we would take advantage of more even numbers brakes, especially on Hayward's part, but the reality is we dont have the personnel a lot of the time on the court to do so.

2) Pace. Dragic thrives in a fast pace, not so much with a slow pace. Snyder refuses to play at a fast pace with this team. We don't even attack in transition. I don't see Dragic being a better fit than George.

Usually don't agree with the poster, but +1 this!
I'd add that Dragic really loves to touch the ball. Hill can defer for stretches when he isn't hot or someone is particularly hot or has a mismatch.
 
I have always really like dragic. I choose him.
 
Dragic seems to really blossom only when he has a high usage rate. This Jazz team already has enough scorers - although one watching the Clippers game would not noticed it -, so I think Dragic would not work well here. Besides, Hill seems to be a better defender.

I would prefer Hill on the Jazz roster.
