Trade Deadline thread (FEB 23rd 3pm EST)

CHI should do a Butler & Lillard swap. Nice trade for both teams.

if they put me in charge of chicago i'd burn that team to the ground immediately, if not sooner. butler, mirotic and portis would be the only ones with a chance to stick around..

i'd swap butler for lillard.

Well CHI needs a PG for the future. POR needs a more experience forward to pair with McCollum (if Lillard is traded).

I just think it's a good fit for both teams.

I think both teams are looking to the future and not present players if they decide to trade Lollard and Butler.

it creates a cataclysmic imbalance of salaries at the wing position for portland.. evan turner was such an awful signing, dunno what Olshey was thinking

turner 17mm
butler 19mm
harkless 9mm
aminu 8mm
crabbe 18mm
mccollum 24mm
connaughton + layman 2mm

They're both still relatively young though?

The problem with POR IMO is they're not a well balanced team with all their talents in the PG & SG positions. Butler will give POR a more balanced attack. You can play McCollum at the point. Butler at SF.

I dunno if I were CHI I would take on contracts just to get my hands on Lillard. He's a keeper.
