Pursue Kevin Love Around the Draft?

After watching last night, I don't want Love. His window of affecting the game as a PF is probably another 2 or 3 years max. When things get tight, teams go small. Or at least 4 small with one big. I fully expect Gobert to be our 1 guy because he owns the paint. Love would be great to maybe entice Hayward to stay and for a couple years, but long term I have some questions.

If there is anyway to make it happen we need to do it. The problem is is love is really really good and his value is high so it will be very hard to get him.

If LeBron can't win with Love, what makes you think the Jazz can get any more out of him?

It's not Love's fault. If the Warriors didn't have KD this year, Cleveland would probably be up 2-1 right now. Love doesn't help Cleveland beat this current Warriors team because Durant can cover Love. Draymond can too, but he was used to cover LBJ last year, and Curry can't guard Kyrie or LBJ. Durant has nullified most of Love's effectiveness.

It's just insanely hard to figure out any multiple team trade involving Love and the Jazz. Who makes Cleveland a better team than Love who is realistically on the trading block? Please dont say Melo, because he doesnt.

All that matters is who LeBron thinks makes them better. How does LeBron feel about Melo?

Love's a better rebounder but Melo is a much better offensive player. I wouldn't want either on my team, however, because neither make their teammates better.

A healthy Favors would look pretty damn good on that Cleveland team. If he can ever get healthy.

Not enough for Cleveland. Favors doesn't help them beat GS.

Favors looks a lot better for a young team like PHX, Ind, or PDX.

He is a tremendous defensive upgrade (if healthy). last I checked, defense is the Cav's main problem. In all fairness, however, Gobert is the player the Cavs need.

Yep. If you switched out Love for Gobert, the Cavs are as good as the Warriors. Right now, they have to play like superheroes to win/finish a game. The only issue for the Cavs would be spacing if they played Gobert and Tristan together. But I'm sure they would just alternate those two.

Glad Cleveland doesn't have Gobert. I'm looking forward to many years here in Utah locking down the paint.

A report means nothing unless you hear it from Phil Jackson himself and even then take with A grain of salt because A lot of head games are played by people in charge. They always have an agenda.so a report means next to nothing basically so have fun finding fake news online

?QUOTE=LoPo;1428058]I just read a report that said NY is not interested in Love. I will try to find it.

My idea has Cleveland avoiding the luxury this year. By doing so, they avoid a tax bill that would be over $30 million. This trade saves them $40 million I believe. So they get assets, Hood, and save that money.

My Cle/NY idea would happen in the new cycle starting July 1. So Cleveland would be in the luxury penalty 2016 NOT 2017 but likely back again 2018 if they got Melo.
