Pursue Kevin Love Around the Draft?

I think there could be a little clog in the trade system. With Melo, George, and LMA all being distressed assets, I'm sure their teams are trying to figure out a way to swap amongst themselves before taking pennies on the dollar elsewhere.
Pacers dont want Love
Cavs, Pacers and Knicks dont want LMA
Melo doesnt want Pacers
Spurs don't want Melo
George won't stay in Indy or NY

It just doesnt work. A team without a big star needs to want one of these guys.

are you Woj in real life?? Stop it, please. Half of that is safe to INFER, but the other half you're pulling straight out of your mother****ing ***.

For NAOS

Pacers would have traded PG for Love

LMA is lateral move for Cavs (and Spurs with Love), Pacers want to rebuild so no LMA, Knicks value Melo over LMA due to fit and Melo is the face right now of the Knicks

Melo has a no trade clause. Not leaving NY to struggle at Indy

Maybe Not - Spurs and Melo but my gut tells me Melo fits Pop as much as Butler fit Hoiberg

PG said he isn't staying at Indy. I speculate a worse NY isn't better. Both worse than LA.

So most of my list is just logic. Try it. So awesome.

I would love love on the Jazz. I think the Jazz have tht potential to be the 3rd partner in these trades. sending out the 1 year left of Favors and or the contract for burks, maybe hood (sad face) to bring in Love and send george or melo to the bulls and our prospects to the other team.

We just went to our house under construction and a guy was dumping some soil (we needed some). His construction company was KL and last name was Love. This is a good omen.

Looks like it's actually KH Love. The H must be for Heat-check.

So has the hate gone too far on this guy... it seems the fact that no one wants love held up a big draft night trade. I'd give up assets for the guy for sure. Injury risk but still a damn good player.

Hood, favors, a draft pick seems like it might be more than any one else is offering.

I wouldn't say that nobody wants Love. There are just better players out there. Once George is traded, the Love market will heat up.

Soooooo I think we will end up getting Kevin Love... Just a hunch, but we would be a good third party candidate for Melo getting moved to Cleveland.

I don't think the Melo to Houston deal gets done, because the hold up is no one wants Anderson's deal. Windhorst indicated he though we had "a move that will reshape the roster" coming.

It would make sense. I could see LBJ liking Melo there.

Cleveland gets Melo
NY gets Favors, Diaw and our 2018 first
We get Love

Seems like a fair deal for us if we think Love makes us a contender.

Not sure if anybody would think Love would make us a contender. But, if you're planning to move on from Favors next offseason, you could do much worse than giving up a 1st round pick for Love.

I kind've feel like the Cavs would want Favors.

I think Favors and Exum gets it done. I think we'd have to do it. This is the best way to maximize Gobert's next 4 years.

I wouldn't add Exum as the Jazz or the Knicks. I think a 1st rounder would be more appealing for both teams.

I like Love much more than Favors, but he is older with a contract twice the size. Not many teams want him. NY gets $14 million in savings on this deal for this year, $26 for next year, a player in Favors who can fit next to KP for a run at the playoffs this season and a 1st.

I think Utah HAS to. Jazz have treated Favs miserably the last several seasons. Utah is generally tight-lipped when it comes to trades, but rumors have leaked every year about Favs being on the trade block. Must have been very close to happening when he posted his "blessing in disguise" and "adversity" tweets.

Favors fits great as Rudy's backup, but the two are less than ideal together offensively. Rudy is now a great P&R player. He wasn't two seasons ago when Favs had that role on offense.

1st would go to Cleveland. If NY could get straight expiring for melo they would do it.

I wish Cleveland had a GM so this could actually happen.
