JazzFanz Martyrs In Memoriam

Quite well, actually. Over 100 people showed up to protest, which is 95% more than usually show up. If the tax increase goes through, which I doubt, a lot of people will in peril.

Well that's good! Civic engagement is important, glad to hear folks are participating.

I staged an anti-protest protest. I got 5 signatures on a petition to raise Trouts taxes $53 per year instead of $50.

HAH! Take THAT!

That's fine, at least you're telling me the truth. The mayor in T-Ville has been telling everyone that it will equal out to around 36 bucks a year, even though The Tribune reported it at closer to 50 bucks, and while tax payer after tax payer stood up and told him how theirs would go up significantly higher than $36.00.

I am all for taxes, but the lying and the back door shenanigans is what is pissing people/me off.

I'm amazed anyone showed up to complain about a $14/yr difference.

Or $36, or $50, or... That's just it, who knows? When asked what it would be used for, the Chair simply stated, "You can find out on the internet". I've had it.
