5 best Kyrie Irving trade scenarios (Jazz mentioned)

No way would the Jazz trade Mitchell. I'll bet DL has proposed trading anyone except Mitchell and Gobert. And, of course, the recently signed FA's since they can't be traded until December. If a deal happens for Irving (to any team), it will go down before the season starts. I can't see Cleveland waiting until December or the deadline, especially if Irving just refuses to show up. Gilbert just wants a bigger haul, which he's not going to get.

When you cant get star player you have to play more team basketball with great ball movement. Kyrie is not that type of player. He would honestly set the Jazz back. He would lead league In scoring playing in SLC though. That I have no doubts about.

I know I shouldn't feed the trolls, but this is a great post. The Jazz are about ball movement, screens and great defense. That stops with Kyrie as everyone just watches him dribble. DWill was actually like that the last couple of years as he'd try to break down the opposing PG with his crossovers. That was terrible to watch.

Am I the only moron that wouldn't trade Mitchell for Kyrie straight up?

Nope. Like has already been said in this thread, I think Mitchell has star potential. Why trade him for what is most likely 2 seasons of Kyrie? I honestly can't remember ever being this enamoured with a Jazz draft pick that has yet to even suit up for the team. Maybe we end up being wrong, but as for now, I'm more than happy to roll the dice with Mitchell.

This.

Kyrie is a good player, but is he even a top 20 player in this league? With how hard-working, smart, and determined Mitchell has appeared so far I think this guy has a chance to be really special. Time will tell, but like you I'm happy to roll the dice.

Are you serious? or being sarcastic? I really can't tell. Because he is obviously a top 20 player. Probably more like a top 10 player.
Definitely not a top 10 player. He received even fewer votes than Hayward did in the All-NBA voting, and Hayward wasn't even close.

How many firsts would Cleveland have to add to get DM for Kyrie.... 5 or 6 at least I would guess.

It will be interesting to see where he goes.
