Newt announced he's in.
Liberals don't have faith in humanity to begin with, that is why they want the government to have so much control over our lives.

That's a sword that cuts both ways. Conservatives have their own trust issues with humanity.
Which is why libertarianism is logically correct if you're a humanity lover, like I am.
Let's look at regulation in as if the government was a giant sports organization like the NBA with tons of $$$$ on the line.
YOu are saying let the players ref themselves because in the end players want to have a respectable reputation. They will make the honest calls we will save a bunch of money on ref's salary and the game will run smoother.
We are saying that we need refs to make sure the games are fair. Ever played a game of pick up where one player thinks he is Jordan and calls a foul every time he misses his shots?
You then say look at your refs they are bunch of cheaters look at Tim Donaghy.
We are saying OK than we do not need to argue for the need of refs we need to evaluate the refs and get rid of the few bad apples.

Trust but verify.
Unless it comes to marijuana and heroin. Same-sex marriages. Homosexuals in the military. Etc.
Overabundance of regulation is my problem (making it so the players don't even get a chance to play the game).
I'd prefer minimal, simple, equally enforced regulations (not separate rules for the superstars).
I'm not even talking so much about regulation as I am about the metric buttload of government policies and entities that are encroaching into our lives.
Unless it comes to marijuana and heroin. Same-sex marriages. Homosexuals in the military. Etc.
Yep, pretty much why I can't take conservatives seriously when they talk about freedom.
You're a rhetoric pumping machine, KOC. Trust me on this: you don't understand the first thing about politics and the foundations of positions. Quit the partisan ******** and learn a thing or two. It's ok to think about things more and hate the big, bad other side less. You've been warned enough already. Yes, I am the keymaster and gatekeeper.
I applied for a job at a call center, and one of the profiling questions was... "What is the biggest issue facing America?" I simply responded "Rick Santorum." Needless to say, I got the job.
More lopsided examples. Funny you didn't mention anything about compulsory education, child seats, or any other protect the children liberal initiatives.
Legalizing heroin surely protects those innocent babies much better than forcing parents to take their children inside on every gas station trip, no matter how short in duration or clear the line of sight.
Ooh, and did you ever answer why it is that any civilian wants a govt. stamp of approval on their relationship, deeming it approved by granting it an antiquated religious title? I didn't.
Also, BTW, the conservatives I know weren't bothered by DADT being repealed. Then again, they just might be true conservatives rather than your typical hypocritical variety.
It's pretty easy to make a case against heroin and, say, prostitution.
Unless it comes to marijuana and heroin. Same-sex marriages. Homosexuals in the military. Etc.
Which regulations agencies really make you angry inside? Food and Drug? EPA?
You are going to have to get rid of campaign contributors if you want to clean up the superstar treatment (https://fundrace.huffingtonpost.com/) or regulate these funds. (check out Republican contributors)
What government policy really encroaches on your personal live? Do you not like the Patriot Act? (passed by a Bush)
I know you are angry with the Health Care Bill which was based on good old Romney's bill in Massachusetts. Well, if you don't want a government option that is fine. I do I'm sick of my premiums rising while my health insurance provided denies every claim that gets sent into them. Oh well you are probably going to say well look at the cost now they are rising. Well, there are two factors that I believe contribute to that. First, insurance companies that are inbed with your corporation are trying to make it look worse than it is by raising rate to make this bill unpopular. Second, insurance companies are seeing the end to their dominance and they are going to get theirs while they can.
By the way, did I mention that this is my birthday present this year?

Will be a little larger than my normal concealed carry (Beretta PX4 Storm Sub-compact 9mm) but is a .45 ACP. Yum.
Homosexual marriage is where those who have the freedom to have relationships without the state meddling in it want them to meddle in it. That's a mentality I don't understand.
