What's new

Game Thread - Jazz VS. Nuggets - November 28th, 2017

Jerebko with 15 pts and 8 assists. That was big last night without Hood and Johnson. Mitchell wasn'the scoring before the 4th qtr, and Ingles wasn't scoring either. He was big. Seems to have a good bb iq, is an active player on both ends of the court who spreads the floor. Glad his shot was falling.

I only could watch the second half. But boy, what a half!! Best game all year in my opinion. Or at least, best half. :)

Why not split time with Favors and Gobert at the 5? I understand ego's and all but Favors is on his way out if things revert back to the way they were at the start of the season. Favors and Hood off the bench would be awesome and would really throw a wrench into game planning for opposing coaches. Perhaps the best scoring punch in the league for a second unit. It may be a new wrinkle that really gives us an advantage.

Favors is not re-signing if Gobert is here (because they don't work together, at least not on this roster), especially not now. So do you trade Gobert so you can HOPE to re-sign Favors?

That is supposed to be rhetorical because that's lunacy.

I think we see why Rudy and Derrick can't co-exist. Need that additional threat. It's not like Jerebko is a star, but by having just Favors inside and the rest 3PT threats, it opens things up.
We've known this for a while. Since JJ became the full-time starter last year at the latest.

I slept, missed the beginning, and tuned in just in time to see Thabo swipe the ball away from Lyles and go slam it.

Royce looked leagues better than Bolomboy. Don't know why that was a tough call for them. Jerekbo looked great, Neto, damn good game. FAVORS!!! That was like his best game in a Loooonnngg time. he had a +/- of 30 or something crazy like that

Maybe we keep Favors and play him at the 5 next year????..... Give Gobert some rest? Or we trade him.

That's it in a nutshell. Favors would be a nice backup 5 if he were willing to re-sign for what we are paying him now and accept that roll. But that ain't happening and Favors will very likely demand more money than he is worth to the Jazz.

So we trade him, which is too bad because I hate to see him leave.

I would like to make clear that despite my frustrations with Favors over the years — including the lineup issues — I know he is a very good player, and likely a very good starter on the right team. It just sucks that the Jazz are in no position to capitalize on that.

How many times has Favors had good games only to revert to half-hearted play? He's fools gold I tell ya.

But if he plays well for the rest of the season... and Rudy improves over last year... and Joe Jesus is resurrected... and Jerebko becomes Blake Griffin... and The Don takes rookie of the year honors... and Rodney quits ******** his pants... and Burks becomes the real Slim Shady... and Jingles bells are ringing... we.just.might... put Haywad into a unrecoverable depression.

Huh? He’s averaging 16 ppg since Gobert went down. That doesn’t sound half hearted to me. But, we won’t get **** for him. And he will walk. Not because he doesn’t like it here but because he believes he can be a good player in this league. And playing with Gobert doesn’t allow him to showcase that.

Happy for him and the Jazz that he's playing well. But he's shown he can be a good player before and then he either gets hurt or just doesn't give his all. I'm still in the trade him camp, especially if he can bring something in return.

favors value might be sky high. stock is high right now....might be a perfect time to unload him now.

He isn't coming back. I can bet on that.

Was anyone else disappointed with Favors over his post game interview with Kristen? He was looking over his shoulder for Mitchell and his water bottle the whole time. Like he didn' want some water dumped on his head. C'mon Hoss, it's just a little water...

So you want to see our center get dunked on by a 6'3" guard????
