If Hood were on another team doing exactly what he's doing statistically and we found out he wanted to come to the Jazz, we would all be ecstatic to add him to the team.
Exactly! This is what drives me crazy. Although, someone could try to Charlotte us like the Hayward thing and then we'd likely not be able to match and get nothing.

This is hard crud. Blah.

23 hours to go...

I think now is the time that GM's quit over pricing what they have and get serious. We'll see what happens. Surely lots of teams like Hood. I think we like Hood. But if we could get Justice Winslow, I would say we did alright. Perhaps Avery Bradley rental and an option to swap picks next year for Hood and Thabo's contract?

Some might dispute this, but I think the news that Lou Williams might extend in LA is huge for Hood's value: http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/...ers-closing-contract-extension-trade-deadline

With Lou out, Hood is the best trade target wing available and its not close. He is so much better than Tyreke and Bazemore. He is younger, his restricted status means he can be kept long term, and he has steadily gotten better in his career.

I think we could get a really, really good haul for him if a team gets desperate enough.

I found it interesting from more of a financial standpoint. So Lou got 8 million a year and is a much more potent scorer than Hood is. Williams is a poor defender, but I wouldn't say Hood is much better.
The only thing Hood really has going for him is he's much younger. It would be hard to justify Hood is worth more than 12m a year if Lou Williams is an accurate reflection of the current free agent market.

Well, Lou is older and one thing is very important - he wanted to stay in LA at the Clippers. The Clippers had a whole bunch of leverage in those discussions. Lou didn't want to go to Cleveland or somewhere else, play for his next contract, then have to go through the free agency circus. The Clippers were probably saying - "We want to stay decently relevant, but we are also rebuilding. Are you okay with that? Also, we are going to be willing to pay you _____. Take it or leave it."

After reading through Rodney Hoods sisters twitter feed that I happened to see, I am on the side of maybe it’s time to part way with Rodney. There were some obvious tweets of hurt feelings from him being booed, among a few others that were obvious frustration tweets with the current situation. Among those was one that was kind of a petty jab at Joe Ingles being the Jazz guy, not Rodney Hood with money bag emojis next to Ingles name.....if Rodney or those around him(which I would imagine those around himshare his feelings) have bitter feelings about Joe Ingles, I imagine they are awful bitter about the embracment and love Donovan has got by fans and by the organization.....it may very well be time to turn this chapter over, hopefully by tomorrow. We don’t need a guy in the locker room unhappy with his roll and has some bitter feelings.

How you gonna talk about tweets and not provide a link?

Because trolls will go troll and I don’t think that’s needed. The Joe Ingles tweet was the one that stuck out the most to me with the money bag Emojis, seemed petty.

Aaron Gordon and Fournier for Hood and expiring contracts, plus we throw in a lottery protected 1st this year.

It will happen and we will all be happy.

Not sure if I said it in this thread or not but about a month ago, I said here. He ends up here. Him, Favors, everyone. No one is traded.

Except maybe Joe Jesus.

Just read there are Wilson Chandler for Jesus rumors too. Not sure how I feel about that.

I believe your words were something like DL would be left with his dick in his hand. It was funny but true and you caught some **** for saying it IIRC.

Man that’s a bit disappointing. He’s had a tonne of opportunity and if he got outplayed and lost his spot in the pecking order tough ****.

The idea that he didn't get a fair shot is reason enough for me to scoff at my memory of Hood hereafter.

I will say on the Hood thing, I understand him being frustrated with Utah.

Yes Donovan Mitchell was great and deserved to start, but from Hood's perspective, why couldn't they both start? Rubio was struggling worse than him, but he was allowed to work through it in the starting lineup. So in his eyes, they brought this new guy in who was playing poorly, but he keeps his starting job while Hood is at least playing OK, gets benched. He probably felt slighted.
