Grayson's Hands’ Case:

I have two great defenders at PF/C which is what compliments Harden perfectly.

A Harden/Doncic duo is extremely intriguing to me offensively and they would be dominant together. Draymond fits well around those two and Dragic/Gasol add additional scoring power in the starting-lineup.

I easily have the better bench by far. I have the 6th man of the year in Lou Will and Iggy is one of the best bench players in the league.

Warren and Carmelo add instant offense off the bench as well. Everyone knows Carmelo needs to come off the bench and I think he would thrive as an instant offense type of player.

OL has a decent team but he won’t be able to stop my team offensively. There are two many options on my team and he has some decent defenders but nothing close to what he needs to be able to stop my team.

He has Davis guarding Gasol and Porzingis on Draymond. Those two will spread the floor leaving tons of space for Dragic/Harden/Doncic to dominate.

ONE LOVE’s Case:

Team Philosophy

- Defense first team, plays inside out basketball, 3pt shooters all over the floor

- A team built around the 2 talented & young bigs Davis and Porzingis and dynamic PGs

- Davis and Porzingis positions are inter-changeable depending on defensive match-ups

- Plenty of spacing with ALL PLAYERS on the team being able to shoot 3's at a high rate

- All players are above average defenders, with Anthony Davis, Porzingis, Ariza, Matthews and Ibaka being elite defenders for their positions

Matchup with Grayson's Hands

- Ariza will be guarding and bothering Harden with his length

- Davis would be more than a handful for Draymond.

- Porizingis who can shoot 3's will force Gasol to step out of the paint where he's less comfortable.

- Defensively Davis will guard Gasol, Porzingis guarding Draymond.

- Kemba too dynamic and quick for Dragic offensively. Barnes too savvy and strong for the rookie Doncic.

- Should lead to a 4-1 victory

If Porzingis was healthy, I think this would clearly be OL.

Even without him tho, I think OL still might be better. It's close tho.
 
Players like KP/Cousins/Hayward and rookies I'm basically looking at them as wasted picks. I'm not going to prognosticate how these guys are going to play as a rookie or how they're going to come back from injury.

OL has the better constructed team with a better bench (OL's first 3 off the bench might be better than your best bench player).


You drafted 3 washed front-court players. You're starting a rookie, so I really have no idea how that's going to work. You have two good defensive players on your team (Green and Iggy) while everyone else is average (Gasol/Gortat), mediocre (Warren/Dragic/Harden), or absolute trash (Lou and Melo).

Harden is probably the best player of the two teams in a general sense, but in this matchup I'd take AD first.

I'm not a huge fan of OL's team, but they are good and versatile. AD/Ibaka can start, or they can go with more offense with AD/Gallinari. I'm not a fan of Barnes at all, but I would play Walker/Murray/Ariza the majority of the minutes.

I havent even voted yet. It's close. And it does look like Porzingis might return in the 2nd half of the season.

OL HAS A BETTER BENCH? HIS FIRST THREE PLAYERS OFF THE BENCH ARE BETTER THAN THE 6TH MAN OF THE YEAR AND IGGY?

Igoudala was starting to look pretty rough last year and he is only getting a year older and Lou Williams is a bottom 5 defender in the NBA.

OL has 3 good starters coming off the bench.

Lou Williams is a terrific regular season scorer.

He is a bottom 1% defender in the NBA and his offense takes a nosedive in playoff settings.
 
Lou Will averaged 22.6 PPG and 5.3 APG while winning 6th man of the year and somehow OL has three better bench players than him?

Yes, he had a career year at 31 and I dont expect him to be as good next year and I have 0 respect for his style of play in a playoff setting (as history has shown for his entire career in the playoffs).

It also really hurts that your 3 of your 4 non-center bench players (Warren/Melo/Lou) are redundant high usage scorers who arent even league average at anything else.

I am close to voting for OL but Grayson's hands has that Doncic vibe, beside other things.

Dolan has no idea when he’s coming back he’s been told anywhere from December to put the entire year, plus he’s a 7-3 player which makes it rough for them to come back from the injury. I doubt he’ll be the same player in his career, or at the very least this coming year

That was in April. He's now training in Madrid and there's a chance he could be back by Christmas.

A rookie starting really hurts Grayson's team. Rookies rarely help teams win games their first year. I expect Luka to be good but his first year I am not counting on him being much help. He might put up good stats but probably won't be helping his team win. But maybe he will prove that wrong.

As far as the rest goes one love is better at 3 positions, obviously harden is better and the center spot is debatable. So Grayson's only for sure better at 1 spot.

The benches are pretty close but I lean towards Grayson's bench.

Overall it's close but one loves team is slightly better depending on Porz getting back and healthy this year, which I assume he will.
