AB and Allen each played about 5 minutes tonight, that's not enough time to find any kind of a rhythm. I think Quin is going to have to choose one or the other to be in the rotation and give them solid minutes. Continuing to split their minutes isn't going to work.

I think he prefers AB, but he came in and immediately took a one dribble pull-up 20 footer and Quin said alright, that's enough of that lol.

Agree. Just because you have depth doesnt mean everyone can play, these guys need to find their rhythm. I guess this is my gripe with Exum playing sporadic minutes, just doesnt give him a chance to succeed. Same can be said about AB and Grayson.

Will be interesting what happens at the 3/4 when Thabo gets back... 2 games left on suspension?

Mitchell scored or assisted 56% of all Utah points. Showcased his improved passing.

Limited Eric Gordon to 1/12 3P, 5/21 FG with zero FTs.

Rubio played terrible. He was continuously looking over the bench to check if he was being subbed. Instead Coach Q kept him on the floor even when he turned the ball over on three straight possessions, looked totally lost.

I hope Rubio puts it together asap. We know what he's capable of. But we also know an NBA player must be dependable and consistent. Still if he starts to perform consistently well I'll forget those 4 lousy games.

X deserves more PT. He again played great defense and scored 9 in 15 minutes. That 3P shooting form though

The thing I noticed most, was for the first time since the playoffs, I felt like Mitchell had his opponents off balance all night. That is probably his greatest asset. And probably one of the most important attributes a player can possess.

Actually he stayed in the game after that shot and got to the line 4 times and made a nice bucket at the rim and grabbed a few rebounds. (Also, the long 2 was wide open)
Played 4 minutes and scored 5 points and grabbed 2 rebounds with zero turnovers and played good defense and was a positive in the +/-
It was strange that he didnt play in the second half. Burks has by far the shortest leash on the team.

and Memphis loses to Sacramento. What a wild ride this year will be....

Memphis is going to be a crazy team all year. They have the established veterans and supporting cast to beat anyone if Conley and Gasol play like they did against us. They also have the age and inconsistent players which will lead them to lose to young upstart teams like Sacramento.

Sacramento is much better than most realize. To be honest, they should be looking to add Burks. He would shine on that team.

I agree. Sacramento is going to sneak up on some people this year. Fox, Bjelica, WCS and Bagley are a good foundation. If Hield can be more of a positive than negative, they will be relevant soon.

1. It taught us to win. Breaking into the playoffs was a big deal for this team.

2. Any change in the past could have cost us Mitchell. I'm not willing to take that chance.
Agree with your first point, absolutely disagree on the second. Trading Hart for Bradley happened after drafting Mitchell, it was absolutely a **** up.

Yeah, I’m getting frustrated with coaching about Burks. He is playing really well, but that’s not enough?

It was a 5 game suspension, so he'll be available Sunday presumably.

Dude Donovan had 38...

Currently re-watching the game, Melo is a straight up bitch. I used to love Syracuse Basketball when Adrian Autry and Lawrence Moten played there, **** if Melo doesn't make me hate Syracuse.
