It depends on Russell's value of winning. PHX has been a dumpster fire ever since Nash retiredYes a vast number of them, so I would say Phoenix chances are better than ours.

1, that is TWO more years, not one. and so are Mitchell's rookie scale contract. two years is a LOT of time in sports.1. Gobert is a UFA in two years
2. The path to the finals looks wide open right now
3. Our 3rd best/most important player IS old and will fall off at some time. When that happens, this team will definitely feel it.
No, not true at all. Kevin Oconnor saw him on the waver wire, IMMEDIATELY called his agent and offered a big contract that they couldnt say no to. No one else had a chance to call before they took the offer

He had a pretty bad season. He scored 14 ppg on 41% shooting. Thankfully he had a really good team around him and the best player in the playoffs this year.So he played well or no ???

Well stated. We kept waiting for the Warriors to die and a window to open. Well here you go.
It’s not time to plan for the future, it’s time to make a move.
“Conley doesn’t put us over the edge”
I hear that. But do we even know what the edge is right now? The only ‘superteam’ is the Lakers and they are two stars learning to play together and a bunch of bums. Houston may be imploding. It’s a game of chance, Raptors could have easily lost the second round, so you can’t play the result. Just give yourself a shot.
With Conley I think we have a fighting chance against any team in the league. And that’s all you can ask for.
Building for the future is when you have Hayward, Burks, Burke, Kanter and Favors and think all of them will be awesome. The league is way too fluid to plan like that. Get a good player and re-asses if and when necessary.
Get Conley, get a top 3 seed. Hope Mitchell takes step, and a few others show some improvement. Ingles last dance, Gobert peak power. Pray for health and some good bounces.
I’m in.

Favors aint old.
I am pretty sure you are referring to Ingles though. Royce seemed to do a good job of playing SF for him in the playoffs for his 2nd year in the NBA.
Dog. If all those contracts expire (including Conley’s) in two years and you have Mitchell yet to sign his big deal, the Jazz would have an absolute ******** of cap and could come on the heels of a terrific season in addition to being able to pay Gobert substantially more than anyone else (but not necessarily on the hook to).1, that is TWO more years, not one. and so are Mitchell's rookie scale contract. two years is a LOT of time in sports.
2, who said it won't be even more wide open the year after? even possibly for championship when Siakam leaves/Lowry fall off, but we're trying to disqualify ourselves for that one.
3, yeah, this statement is especially true when we bring in Conley.
so like i said, we are not doing ourselves ANY GOOD by hanging around for the Conley deal, in which we can't even put together a convincing package for right now. teams like Detroit or Orlando can walk in at any point and outbid us easily.
So sign someone of value in FA. accumulate assets. COME BACK mid-season.
we'll be in a better position for trade talks with those FA acquisitions, and hopefully(probably) there will be better opportunities for even better players.
DM and Rudy are contracted till TWO seasons after. we have time
two years ago Hayward was still our best player. A complete different franchise by now.this Two years is like .. very little time. If we sit on our hands again we're running the risk of showing Rudy and Donovan we're not serious about winning.
You are correct. Denver had a meeting set up with Boozer immediately after Utah's. And Jazz had a meeting set up with Kenyon Martin. KOC was smart enough to make Boozer a fat offer, which he took and then cancelled his meeting with Denver. And Denver then met with and signed KMart.Yeah, I don't buy that story Agents are a thing. Pelinka made calls. Of course KOC wasn't going to admit to conspiring against a blind man. It was just "blind luck" that someone saw that Boozer was available. Riggghhhhtt. . .
Favors hasn’t been our third best player since 2015.Favors aint old.
I am pretty sure you are referring to Ingles though. Royce seemed to do a good job of playing SF for him in the playoffs for his 2nd year in the NBA.
Phoenix would have to make some moves to make room. Also their main reporter said they have 0% of going after him.Yes a vast number of them, so I would say Phoenix chances are better than ours.
You are now arguing against your own point(s) now? Cool.two years ago Hayward was still our best player. A complete different franchise by now.
He easily was last year and our best player in the playoffs.Favors hasn’t been our third best player since 2015.
two years ago Hayward was still our best player. A complete different franchise by now.
K, well you can measure that by PER and I’ll measure it by a player that helps you win the most games. He easily was last year and our best player in the playoffs.
That is true but he can provide other things Ingles cant do. Like better defense now and athleticism, he is also much better in the open court.dude Royce can't provide any playmaking like Joe does.
