If we're using this site for simulation that Gandalf posted, we need to establish some ground rules.

It appears you need to select 12 players per team in order to save a team and thus create matchups. Who will be the 2 additional players that get added to each of our rosters (since we only drafted 10 here)? If there's a way to save a team with only 10 players, then this commentary is irrelevant.

In addition, are we simulating only one time for each matchup? If this is meant to be an accurate guess of theorized matchups, repeated simulations will give a better chance that the results of the simulation are not due to error. Therefore, I submit each matchup be simulated 3 times, with the winner taking best of 3 matchups.
Hmm, I'll go play with it when I get home. If you have to do 12 players, can I just put in the same 2 players for both teams? Say, Howard Eisley and Greg Foster? Or figure out who the absolute average players are and use them? Maybe find 2 players with a WARP of exactly 0.

I say I make each round best of 7.

So simulation means no voting?

Damn,... that's where I make my money...

Muahahahaha...
The simulation will be merely run and people can use it for advisement, but won't count as a vote or anything. Except maybe for the supertiebreaker.

Do we put out the simulation's results BEFORE or AFTER the voting finishes?

If it's posted BEFORE voting, won't it change the way voters vote?

And is that a good or a bad thing?

If it does sway voters in 1 direction, then what's the point of voting?

(just having fun with this.. it's a long offseason .. haha)

We did them before voting last year.

Post lineups. Do a 5 game simulation. Vote.

The simulation could be the tie breaker.

@Thee jazz fan

I went all in on Karl Malone as the ultimate “Death Lineup” Wildcard. Imagine Karl Malone in Draymond Green’s role for the Warriors in the Hampton 5 Lineup. That was what I built my team around.

1 - Kyle Lowry / John Wall
2 - Jimmy Butler / Marques Johnson
3 - James Worthy / Glenn Robinson
4 - Kevin Durant / Bobby Jones
5 - Karl Malone / Nate Thurmond

My “Fab Four” - Butler, Worthy, KD and Malone all play 40 minutes each. Lowry, Wall and Thurmond play 16 minutes as a “traditional” PG and C (respectively) with Marques Johnson playing 11 minutes as a backup 2, Robinson playing 11 minutes as a backup 3 and Bobby Jones splitting his time as a backup 4/5 as needed.

Butler also gets some minutes as the primary ball handler (like he did in the most recent playoffs) so I can have a lineup of all 5 players between 6’7” and 6’11” and switchable as hell on defense.

OK, I played with the simulator a bit.

I can't pick the same person to ride the bench for both teams. @elan_prodigy, do you know how you dealt with this previously?

EDIT: Never mind, my random team was trying to start the same person in 2 positions, which was weird, but whatever.

Normally a front court of Malone and Durant would scare the hell out of me but I’ve got a scary duo of my own in Olajuwon and Giannis, but I do respect the hell out of that pairing. This will be a battle of titans for sure.
