Turkey coach thinks Kanter not ready for NBA

Burks is the biggest question mark but I'll throw out that they could each average around 16-17 ppg...66 per game from four starters is very solid I think and would leave defenses on their toes as they would never know who's taking the shot.

I also love the fact the Favors could be our defensive stopper (at the 5 imo) with Kanter being an effort/hustle guy at the 4 (and at least trying on defense) while Hayward and Burks also man the **** up.

Love these kids.

Agree from start to finish. Honestly I dont know if its just my homer goggles blurring my vision, but the Jazz HAS to be one of the most likeable teams coming up in the next few years simply from the players we have. I mean if Kirilenko is resigned, everyone we have on the team from Watson to Jefferson just oozes class. Im really going to enjoy rooting my *** for this team over the next 5 years, excitement is gradually piling for me as the months are progressing. I mean even a few years from now, this is just such a likeable lineup

Plus we have so many different assets to make a trade, NAMELY Jefferson. I mean I am one of his biggest fans on this site, but if we see Kanter progress in a fashion that eclipses Jefferson, then theres no point to keeping him obviously; on the flipside, Kanter only manages 17/7, then ship him instead. Trade him for several role players/phenomenal bench players and we seriously have a contending team.

Agreed except for the part which implies AK being classy too. Dude's no scumbag but that doesn't mean he's classy.

I totally meant to write "if Kirilenko is NOT resigned". Having the reputation as one of the leagues softies/floppers definitely demerits his classiness as much as I sometimes like the guy, i just mistyped my apologies etc.

Speculation is fine, but it's WAYYY too early to say what any of those players will or won't be doing.

Although he seems to be bitter about Kanter leaving the Turkish team, I think it is a right move for us fans to lower expectations of his impact right away though. Especially if Millsap is not traded, Kanter just won't see the court enough to show his talents, just like Hayward last year.

Yeah he is not head coach, he is just one of the coaches, not even the assistant, mabe assistant of assistant, so people should consider that issue when criticizing the coach of turkey. I know he is rookie and he sucks for now but he has nothing to do with these comments about enes
 
I am excited about the young talent the Jazz have. The future looks bright. As far as the Turkish asst. coach's opinion, it is only an opinion. No one knows what the future holds. I remember "experts" calling Malone lazy which fueled his career. I hope Enes takes all the criticism and uses it for extra motivation. I think the kid can be really really good.
 
the same so called assistant coach (nihat izic) said this about enes kanter:

"I've known him since he was like this," said Izic, bringing his right hand up to his waist.

"Enes was always a big kid and pushed the other kids around. He's always had the competitive mentality. That is inside of him. And if they are patient in Utah, they will see he can be a very important player."

enes was again the best player today with 14 points and 6 rebounds, he was the leading scorer again. i think he and omer asik had both 6 rebounds. despite being arguably the best player on the turkish team, enes again was only allowed to play like 15 minutes. but his numbers were great again, he has been the best player for the third time in a row for this turkish team. his numbers are incredible despite him not geting as much playing time as he deserves. but this kid is the best player on the turkish team right now (honorable mention: omer asik), despite being just 19 years old and not having played organised basketball for like two years. those are incredible facts and don't forget, he has to deal with an horrible coach as well. enes' future is bright, the jazz' future is bright. i believe that he will become a 20-10 player in the nba. he is one of the best rebounders i have ever seen, no kidding and he is so skilled offensively with solid and not bad potential on the defensive end. given his work ethic, his extremely mature body frame (he looks like a bull, despite being just 19 years old), incredible high motor (not an often seen phenomenom for a 19 years old guy), incredible toughness and hustler-kind of a mentality and his skillset, he has all the tools to become an elite big man in this league. he has great intangibles as well, does nothing but his job night in, night out! what a steal as the third pick imo. guys, watch out and see what kind of a player this guy will be in 2-3 years!

Interesting looking at that Seattle roster and to be honest it is very similar to this roster. I think kanter could have a Tom chambers like career. Their games are similar. Hayward or burks could put up Dale Ellis like numbers probably burks. Hayward would play a Derrick mckey type of role. The xman Xavier McDaniel and millsap are cut from the same mold. I don't think millsap can average mcdaniels numbers but they to are similar.
 
After watching Turkey play, it's obvious their coach doesn't know anything about Basketball... Especially for the Jazz, where we actually use post players and not just let our guards chuck up 3s.
