well, let's do a more thorough research and count all the "win or go home" games in Conley's career, shall we?In his defense, if LeBron was 0-4 in Game 7's, what would the narrative be? I think that's his main point although it's not all Conley's fault that he's 0-4 in Game 7's.
In 2011,
G6 versus Thunder, trail 2-3, win or go home
Conley shot 3 for 12, luckily Z-bo dropped 30+13 in a Memphis win
G7 versus Thunder, tied 3-3, win or go home
Conley shot 7 for 19 in a Memphis loss.
2012
G5 versus Clippers, trail 1-3, win or go home
Conley shot 4 of 10 for 9 points, luckily Gasol/Z-bo combined for 42 pts in a Memphis win.
G6, trail 2-3, win or go home
Conley 4 for 9, Gasol/Z-bo again came up big for the grizz and scored 41 pts to force a G7.
G7 vesus Clippers, tied 3-3
Conley shot 2-13 for 7 pts, Memphis lost
2013
G4 versus Spurs, trail 0-3. Win or go home
Conley 4-13 for 9pts in a Spurs sweep.
2014
G7 versus Thunder, win or go home
Conley 8 for 14 in a Memphis loss.
2015
G6 versus Warriors, trail 2-3, win or go home
Conley 3-13 for 11pts in yet another Memphis loss.
2017
G6 versus Spurs, trail 2-3, win or go home.
Conley again shot 7-18 and Memphis lost.
2020
G7 versus Nuggets
Conley 2-13 for 8points.
To sum it up, Conley shoots 44/134=32% in season defining games for his teams in the playoffs. none of the teams that beat Conley were the eventual champion of that season. 2012 Clippers didn't even sniff the Conference Final's floor
You can call it "statistically insignificant" all you want. Not sure how much those Grizz fans spending years of frustrations watching one playoff exit after another would agree with you. not to mention had Conley even shot 3-13 we would've beat Denver in G7, but he just couldn't hit that one damn extra field goal.
