The “I’m a Mike Conley hating bitch” list

Cy holds this big grudge against me, claims i dont know ****, n this is the last topic we clashed on... how is it aging... seems like yet another thing thats matriculated in the direction i said it would....
 
the question i ask is a simple one. Was Conley worth $700,000 per game? (in-game performance. dont even factor in they had to give up assets to trade for him, or the fact that his salary constricts the other options utah has, lets just keep this black and red)
 
hate to say i told ya so btw, i wish it were the other way around cuz then id actually have learned something from this episode... this is distinctly in the category of shoulda seen it coming a mile away to me.

u can find the initial thread of the conley trade too that day that hour it happened i showed up hjere n wrote why its completely doomed n just an excersice in futilityu n that its dead similar to the george hill trade/experiment n that they arent compeititve with the elite in the west in playoff series..
 
u will never ever ever convince me there arent parallells with utah bringing in george hill ricky rubio n conley on big overpays

and the knicks going after stephon marbury n steve francis n cuttino mobley in the early 2000's


these moves were in the same vein! im just the only one smart enough around here to call that spade a spade!

but thats not the way the world works, that type of error is an error in being too results-oriented n not focused on the core proccesses. this is an error in letting flawed approach fester into systemic issues n it happened before our very eyes, for all to see, broadcast n syndicated in languages all over the world!


idiots are idiots because they act as idiots do, not because they end up in situations an idiot would. n thats just whats distorted in ppls minds, yall b giving these idiots the benefit of the doubt n u never even met these people n they dont give a **** about you, why do you respect them so? is it the money n status they've gained, u think their physically attractive? u think they have your best interests in mind? i dont get it honestly..

n especially with the gaining power of the camera, idiots have less n less places to hide these days, its great.

Ive been saying it for years Utah builds teams built for the regular season!!! its pathetic n its a trap/bait
 
in what world was aging mike conley on a bloated 150 million dollar contract gonna be the difference maker in utah being a championship contender?

espns taken heavy losses, they cant ever gain back the footing they once had with the internet taking over, in turn they've dumbed down their coverage, n in turn with them dumbing down their coverage, the masses have dumbed down their expectations.....

I called the Mike Conley trade the worst trade in our franchise's history last summer. I ate a little crow towards the end of this year and during the first round.

After watching the 2nd round and knowing we still owe a pick on the deal, it's definitely not a successful trade. It's not the worst trade in franchise history either.

I will continue to say this - With Jae Crowder, we beat Denver last year. And with Jae Crowder, we beat the Clippers this year.

I'm so sad everything happened like it did. So sad. This sucks.

So now not only did we heavily over-pay to rent a guy for what amounts to one full season of basketball over 2 seasons due to injury, which should have come as no surprise to anyone given his injury history, but it's also highly likely he walks and we get nothing at all back in compensation, or we end up overpaying again to watch him play 2/3 of a season.

I think we can definitively call this a failed experiment and maybe one of the worst moves by the FO we have seen. Unless they can somehow salvage some assets from this scenario or Mike can miraculously overcome his mounting injury history to actually contribute next season when we overpay to keep him.

No matter what, it is clear we went after the wrong target, and overpayed to get it.

I hope the FO manages to salvage something from this fiasco, but I seriously doubt they will.
