Jazz Offseason Plan

Tony, why didn’t the Jazz move Bogey for starter level wing defense? Understand I hold you personally accountable for this.
You make it sound like that would be easy to do, I’m sure the jazz researched every option. Problem is anyone worth trading Bogey for that meets that criteria was pretty unavailable for Bogey.

So what is our current roster?

Mitchell
Conley
Royce
Bogey
Rudy
Rudy
Hassan
Clarkson
Joe
Butler
Paschall
Hughes
Forrest
Dok

Do we just have one spot available?

You’re missing Oni, and Forrest is a two-way. But yes, we’re at 14 assuming Oni’s back.

Probably unlikely we fill all 15 because we never do, and probably unlikely even more this year due to luxury tax, IMO.

Those three guys usage will go down when they play with the second unit, especially Clarkson who doesn't pass much.

Either that or the existing players have to take less shots. Probably both. Either way, we’re going to have a lot of guys taking less shots and having less touches.

That already didn’t work well when we were fully healthy. I can’t imagine it will get better with more mouths to feed.

I don’t see it in Wagner. Like at all. He reeks of bust to me. Awkward dribble and mediocre athleticism (at best), he reeks of Tyler Hansborough in how he moves on a court (not to mention his cheerleading shenanigans) and what he does on the court…plus he can hit the 3 I guess. He’s an easy no. Dude will be out of the league sooner rather than later IMO. I wouldn’t draft him at 30, let alone 13.
Imagine being this bad at scouting.

I don't hate Wagner, but I'm also not enamored with him. He's not an elite athlete which concerns me. Is he even an athlete at all? Seems like a guy with a complete skill set for college but will he translate to the NBA?

He might work. Might not. Not worth trading up for in my opinion.

"Is he even an athlete at all?"

It's crazy how bad yall are at this.

Wagner is showing flashes of a non-bitchy version of Haywhod.
I dont think Wagner will ever be the on-ball creator (but if he does, jesus christ, not impossible) that Hayward is, but he's far ahead of Hayward at this stage in terms of overall game. Franz going to be a terror as a 4 and right now he's excelling while playing the 3. Scary.
