We should get out of the first round this year regardless of how healthy Luka is. If he’s out for a week and Dallas blows HC, then this is going to end in a sweep

Anything can happen. We either win and instill some hope or get blasted and know that major changes are about to occur.

The last time we faced Dallas was in a 4/5 matchup. We were the four. I think that was the last year of 5 game first round. 2001?

If Luka’s healthy we lose. He’s a killer in the playoffs. DFS seems to love that we play Rudy off of him…

If Luka misses 1-2 games we win.

The Luka injury just really sucks...I really want to play them at full strength. Hopefully he won't miss much time, but calf strains are tricky and usually take a long time to heal.

Clippers still managed to humiliate us sans Leonard so we still need all the help we can get.

I’d rather play them with no Luka than with Luka. We have had zero luck from the injury gods so I don’t feel bad for any team.

Obviously our chances of winning increase dramatically without Luka. I'd still much rather play them at full strength...beating them without Luka won't be nearly as satisfying.

The Clippers still had a top 10 player in Paul George. The Mavs have some nice role players but no one even close to PG.

I actually like the Jazz's chances even if Luka plays the whole series. I'm not a believer in Dinwiddie or Brunson going off enough to win a series. I also think that House, Hernangomez and Whiteside give us the energy and defense we need. Mitchell is going to need to go nuclear again though. Conley and Clarkson are going to need to score well.

If Luka doesn't play, then the Mavs can't really control the pace of the game and get guys their looks on the perimeter.

Luka's injury means Quin will now have to prepare for a Luka and non Luka Dallas team. His head might explode.

I think Dallas will primarily play 5 out against us, at least in crucial situations. I think it is a little more uncomfortable for them, and so I'm not as scared of it, but will be interested on how we approach that. Gobert will need to dominate Powell in the minutes he plays.

I looked up Dinwiddie stats and he is shooting 50%/40% in Dallas when he is a career 41%/32% shooter. I think a key for the series is if he can continue his hot shooting.

We're going to have to play some high pressure basketball, and I have no idea how to expect we'll come out ok in those situations.
