Hayward had an average game.

Looked like an all-star relative to the effort from the rest of the team.

His passing was the best on the team, but nobody else could make a shot.
I don't think he was matched up against Kobe for the most part, which seems like a mistake.

Hayward will be fine. So will Favors and Kanter. As mentioned Hayward had good passes and would have had more assits but no one could make their shots. I see Hayward going as the team goes to an extent. If players had hit their shots Hayward would have had a good game.

The God thread was a joke but then so is this one, good call.

Acting like Hayward was the white mamba aka Kobe killer after one good game was a joke!!! I just see all the hate for Al Jefferson and before this all the trade Millsap rants well I'm just bringing Hayward back to the ground he can be a solid role player nothing more.

I think he will be more than a role player. I see him as being instrumental to making the team work. He won't be flashy and he wont be a superstar/allstar but I can see him becoming the guy that makes everything click. That could be huge.

He played bad ( give me a break about average!), same as rest of the team ( maybe except Millsap ). To passive, was bricking his jumpers and then he was afraid to shoot it instead passing open shots to Bell... Kid needs to show he has guts to play when it matters, when it is not blowouts and when it is not April and team is out of playoffs. I am afraid this season will be quite a bit of eye opener for some Hayward lovers.

First game of the season, I give all of them a pass.
Like AK's one pass per year in a way I suppose.

By the way, you do know that Sloan was mocking AK with that quote you have in your sig line right?

Like the last few years were for you in regards to AK? Sorry I didn't want to help myself. I hope you are wrong but only time will tell.

Gotta love guys who wait in the tall grass for someone to have a bad game so they can start a meaningless thread. Like one game somehow proves their point.

He was admitting that he failed as a coach. Sloan can't mock anybody he is not smart enough for that.
Wow you are the biggest joke of a person on this board, so your trying to say Sloan is the cause for his 7 year slump. WRONG! AK had a bad attitude, wasn't dedicated, didn't work hard, and cried his way through his troubles. Don't talk to me about how Sloan used him wrong on offense because, that's not the only part of his game that droped off.

It's a geat injustice that you somehow have a rep power of two. You bring nothing insightful to jazzfanz other then you being an AK apologist.

Sloan bent over backwards for AK. AK never took responsibility for his bad play, his biggest excuse for his lack of hustle and bad defense was he didn't get the ball enough, so what does Sloan do he makes a concerted effort to involve AK more in the offense, AKMVP, I'm calling you out right now how did Sloans generosity toward AK work out?

Actually the Jazz ruined AK. The year before Boozer and Williams, AK was great but they would freeze him out of the offense. Yet, he was the only on playing defense dwill and boozer played matador defense. If you were AK you would get mad and it is justifiable to give that much effort and watch those two get the all of the glory.

This is why AK was a failure. That was all he cared about. He suddenly had 2 other all-stars to work with and instead of stepping up his game to help the TEAM win, he rolled over and cried in his pillow. He would have been far happier on a team that never made the playoffs as long as he was "the man" than ever would be on a championship team where there may be other players just as important as him.
