What's new

The Non-Jazz NBA Thread in the Jazz Section

Is it too early for a '2025 roster building' thread?

How long is Giannis effective? I'm not sure he ever fixes the shooting issue. I feel like if it was going to happen it would've by now, especially if he is the worker that everyone thinks he is (myself included). He has been almost superhuman to this point, but without shooting, his athleticism is a cornerstone of what allows him to be effective.

He turns 29 in December. I feel like he should probably be able to keep playing at this same level for at least another 3 or 4 years. It all depends on when and how fast he starts to lose his athleticism. It's a gamble I would be willing to take.

I think they try and keep the main parts together for a year under a new coach and pivot next year. Issue is if Middleton bounces... but he should opt in and extend off his $40M number cuz I don't think he gets like 3/100m somewhere else by opting out. He kinda has them over a barrel though.

Yeah, I think Bud's days there are numbered. I wouldn't be surprised to see Nick Nurse end up there.

Giannis, Luka, I’m good with whatever. Ainge knows you need a top 5/10 player to really have a shot at a championship. And this is the first time in post-Stockton/Malone Jazz history where we have the assets to obtain one when they inevitably become available.
