Exactly the same thing happened to me!The other day, after working for 18 hours, I was driving home a little tired and got in an accident. When I got home my wife wouldn't talk to me because she was mad I didn't call her to pick me up. I tried to get some sleep, but two hours later I had to get up because both my dog and kid were sick. On my way to take the dog to the vet I got a flat tire. The dog was a foster dog that I had fallen in love with and the vet at the shelter said he had to stay there, so I had to say goodbye to him. When I got home our basement was flooded.
To top it off, when I logged in to Jazzfanz that night, nobody had liked or commented on my extremely witty post I had written earlier. That's when I knew it was a bad day.
It’s all about context when we talk about the Jazz winning too many games and probably costing themselves a shot at Victor in the process.I got absolutely bitchslapped by some for my thirst for losses during the season by the anti tankers. There was a method to my deep deep madness. It wasn’t just madness.
My craze for losses wasn’t crazy!! It was a cry, a war cry! I’m done with mediocrity. I’m done with winning just to lose. I want more for my team than winning just to lose. I’ve been at this for well over 30 years, and losing more last year would have given us more!!
This is my continued fight, my quest to do my part as the fandom of this team to help bring the long awaited title to the team I love.
The shortest route to title town is drafting Victor Wembanyama!! And to do that we need to win the lotto. It’s happening, oh hell it’s happening!!
Let’s speak this bitch into existence!!!
Yes. I drug myself home and got in the car, I found him on the lawn outside of a church peeing on a tree. I was able to get him to jump in the car for some of his favorite bacon treats.
That was a complete waste of your time. Just celebrate the fact and truth we are getting the #1 pickIt’s all about context when we talk about the Jazz winning too many games and probably costing themselves a shot at Victor in the process.
If the Jazz were winning games with a patchwork of mediocre veterans, all in the name of fighting for a play-in spot, last season would have been brutally disappointing.
I’m not sure how many Jazz fans share my point of view, but I think that the early results of the rebuild have been absolutely stunning so far. The returns on the Gobert and Mitchell deals have already been a gold mine and we have yet to use a single one of our bountiful amount of unprotected picks or pick swaps. So far, we have:
- Possibly hit a grand slam in choosing Will Hardy to coach this franchise after Quinn decided not coaching at all was a better option than honoring the end of his contract.
- Discovered that Lauri M. has an All-NBA ceiling and hasn’t even peaked yet.
- Acquired Walker Kessler, a guy who as of today, no NBA team would consider trading him for Rudy Gobert in a straight up swap IMO. He has defensive POY potential and already has a better offensive game than Gobert. He’s a major reason as to why the Gobert trade will probably go down as the greatest heist in NBA history.
- Landed Agbaji, who looks the part of a solid 3-and-D guy.
Of course, there’s more than that. Thornton-Tucker was a “meh” for me at the time of his acquisition, but he’s certainly showed that he could be pleasant surprise. All of these results have made the fact that we may have played our way out of the Victor sweepstakes quite a bit more palatable. In fact, the only move that has bothered me thus far is the Laker/Minny deal at the deadline. Ainge has made a career out of squeezing opposing GM’s in trades and I was surprised to see him get so little in return on that one.
Of course, with all of that said, it’s still gonna be sweet as hell on lottery night when we get the #1 pick and add Victor to our ever growing treasure trove!!
How hard are you gonna fall back to earth when we pick 11 ??That was a complete waste of your time. Just celebrate the fact and truth we are getting the #1 pick
