2023 NBA Draft Megathread

That starts with Bilal being legit I would think. Their next phase is all in on him. Unless the turnaround doesn't even begin for a few more years after he's busted out.
Ehh. This pick is emblematic of where they are at. They are fine if he sucks this year, almost might prefer it. They drafted someone that could be a big star or nobody and are fine with it. They look like they might take a few years going full process.

Who's he spinning it for? If you made me go up there and pick a guy I didnt want and I knew I wasnt going to be there, I'd be in a similar mindset.
if you couldn't do better than that, you might be mental as well. any average high school kid could have done better than that. that was simply a lack of any ability to string coherent sentences together and speak competently.

IT was just him not giving a **** and not willing to lie for someone else. You often resort to calling people retarded.

Yes, a multiple-time GM and all the other stuff through the ranks over decades was achieved by a literal - as you call them - "retard".

Come on.

don't be a retard. i just searched my posts and guess how many times i've called somebody retarded? once. in my post above. the term often must mean something different to you than it does the rest of the world.

but it was kinda funny that in the search, it brought up a post i responded to where the person i responded to used the term. any guess as to who it was? yeah, it was you.

okay, make that twice now, but you forced my hand by being one.

getting old apparently does crazy things to dude's minds. watch the video - those weren't the words of a competent adult human.

Watch all the live draft footage for the Hornets. They all wanted and thought they were getting Scoot. There are A LOT and very loud booo's for Miller

This place was way more lively before the draft it seems. Three new players on the team, and I'm easily keeping up with the traffic here today. Draft was kind of just whatever, and now we just have to wait and see how the players develop.

Bit deflating. When is Summer League?

Beginning of July. There is normally a lull after the draft but only for a couple days. Once FA hits it will get popping again. I’m sure we’re going to be active there and in the trade market. Buckle up!

This is very odd. They have a ton of draft capital, they couldn't move up anywhere between #11 and #20? Maybe they got scared off after teams continued passing on him?
I think everyone just had a player they wanted.

Then the more you get passed on, teams without access to his medicals probably balk and it creates a snowball effect.

Houston probably got a steal at 20.

Utah said they had George at 10. They might have had Cam at 11. Mentioned looking to trade up to get Brice as he fell. They might have tried for Cam before that.

I assume he worked out for Houston. They would have been one of the teams who knew the most about him.
