Well that’s your opinion, for me I think Clarkson’s skill set lends itself better as coming off the bench as our 6th man scorer.
1. The entire frontcourt needs their table set to thrive. They're all efficient so they also kind of benefit from playing with high usage players.
2. You think Clarkson re-signs/opts-in to sit behind Ochai? If you don't think that's an angle here then I don't know what to tell you.

1. I don’t think Clarkson’s strongest skill is passing and setting the table, it’s more scoring
2. Some guys loves leading the 2nd unit and have more free reign to wheel and deal

Clarkson has been as much fun for the gobert era as he is for the rebuild.

He has been more consistent on the Utah jazz than any other team.

I’d like to keep him. However, I wouldn’t blame him if he saw a potential for a ring elsewhere. Get your bread JC

Clarkson is a good passer but as or more importantly he can make plays with the ball. We need players that can do that (AND can also shoot off the ball with some size, of course), and that's not Ochai.

In my estimation we’ll have Keyonte setting the table at the point in the medium to long term.

The more I think about it, the more I think he opts in, no extension. He starts at SG this season. We want the rookies to play, but looks like the Jazz will try to win some games this season. Just like there was no hesitation to "block" Hendricks there won't be hesitation to block Keyonte.

i also want him to stay as nobody else can unseat him at sg right now. (maybe later). last year was adjustment period. imagine all your life you come off the bench play 25 minutes to starter gig at 35-40 minutes with new coach, new system, he did pretty good and year 2 he s gonna be more comfortable. JC to JC alley-oop is going to be lit.

but i think he signs with the spurs because he bought a mansion there lol. 2-3 years then call it a career.

Was that a recent purchase?

If Clarkson comes back, you have to think he’s the starter. I liked what I saw from Agbaji, but JC was pretty damn good the first half of the season.

This past January?
according to google links dated January 2023. he have another one in LA he bought back last 2020

Jazz are going to let him opt out and test the market. Even though Danny Ainge is cut-throat, I think the Jazz will do right by JC. If his best option is here, I’m sure they’d love to have him back. If it’s elsewhere, they’ll let him go find the best deal.

I think he opts in, there's really not many options out there and the new CBA is really hurting players

Unless there’s fire behind the smoke to San Antonio. One of the few teams with legit cap space and a need for veteran “culture” guys. Think he’d be great for them tbh. Hope he doesn’t go that route, but I’ll root for him regardless of where he ends up.
