@Thee Idiotic Minivan K I got to give you my new phone number.
Look for the video “Nicholas Cage loses his sh—“ for a compilation of his greatest acting scenes. Not the bees!@Keefe Considering I'm a huge Nic Cage fan I lost it at that post lmao.
My pick came down to Him and Bird, Bird I think would be more fun to build around so I picked him.Well, I can at least be quick about it.
I guess I'll take Shaq? That's my 90's drafted player. Hopefully we can adjust the year later, if needed. But for now I'll take 99-2000 season.
29.7/13.6/3.8 with 3 blocks, an MVP, and a FMVP
Probably not the best pick, I'm out of my depth.
@LogGrad98 is next.
Maybe if he’s Ben Simons, Magic would still shoot it and didn’t miss much in the clutch plus he made everyone around him better shooters.Cause he's a PG who's not a good shooter. Modern NBA watchers place a high importance on shooting ability.
This. Magic was elite. He didn’t need to be a good shooter, but he wasn’t bad. That’s the most important thing.Do they? I can think of some very good modern players who arent pure shooters
I’ve always stated that John was the better pg while Magic is the better overall player. In the case of this board, it's because he's not Basketball John.
YesThere's a rule to prevent that.
This. He’s always trying to get a rise out of me. We will know in two hours though. LolSir Gandalfe, I believe our colleague LogGrad is just speaking in jocularity. He shall choose soon.
Feel free to pm me.@Thee Idiotic Minivan K I got to give you my new phone number.
I generally love his movies. Is Nic Cage a good actor? That’s a great discussion and I would certainly lean toward yes given his body of work and argue that most of his bad films over the last decade or so are due to crappy scripts and needing the money. But Adaptation, Lord of War, Moonstruck, Raising Arizona, Bad Lieutenant:…, Leaving Las Vegas, Con Air, The Rock, Joe, Pig…
There are probably another dozen quality films (with Cage performances) I could name too. The guy is weird af but fascinating as well. If you’ve not seen Joe, see it. It’s a better version of McConnaghy’s Mud.
I liked "Leaving Las Vegas" and "Valley Girl." Never saw his remake of Bad Lieutenant, but the original with Harvey Keitel was quite shocking. Is Nic Cage a good actor? @David Hume
You have to watch bad lieutenant. Holy **** hes off the rails in that movie.
Giving you 30 min before I pick for you. Your past the two hours from when u were last seen on the site.Received at 12:14 pm pacific time on 7/10/23. I will have my pick in at 12:13 pm on 7/11/23. Maybe a bit earlier as I have an appointment at noon tomorrow.
Face/Off is a truly bad, but still incredibly awesome movie. John Travoltra, Nic Cage and John Woo were all in prime form for that one. I'm sure a lot of people are inclined to choose the pre-80 player with their first or second pick, because there's only a handful of great players from that era. There's a huge difference between someone like Kareem Abdul Jabar, and Bob Pettit.
Never saw it, but great bad movies list has to include The Warriors. “Warriors, come out and play-ay.”Face/Off is a truly bad, but still incredibly awesome movie. John Travoltra, Nic Cage and John Woo were all in prime form for that one. Still one of my favorites from that era.
I say instead of having you pick for people we just pass over them so that the people paying attention get an extra player available until that person finally makes their pick.Giving you 30 min before I pick for you. Your past the two hours from when u were last seen on the site.
I haven't seen Face-off in a long time. I remembering thinking it was pretty cool as a kid.Face/Off is a truly bad, but still incredibly awesome movie. John Travoltra, Nic Cage and John Woo were all in prime form for that one. Still one of my favorites from that era.
I feel the opposite. There are a lot more than a handful of great players to choose from for the pre 80's. That is probably the deepest group we can pull from since we are talking about 30yrs worth of guys.I'm sure a lot of people are inclined to choose the pre-80 player with their first or second pick, because there's only a handful of great players from that era.
